“Best in Bratislava”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2013 via mobile

We had the pleasure of staying at this hotel for a w/end and must admit you just feel that it is a really great place to stay.
You feel you have entered an exclusive club, more so than a hotel.
It's close to the old town, close to the ferry port from Vienna and walking distance to all the major sights of Bratislava.
The rooms are very well maintained and a reasonable size.
The breakfasts are great...lots of variety and very tasty.
Finally the staff are exceptionally helpful in suggestions for dining options and helping with travel arrangements.

It's No.1 in Bratislava because its very good.Look no further !!!

This is a great hotel a short 10 min walk away from the old city centre. Hence, it is quieter and away from tourist traffic. It has secured underground parking, which was very helpful as we were driving in from Austria. What really impressed us was its front-desk staff, who was warm, friendly and eager to serve us when we arrived. We were offered drinks, chocolates and cookies at check-in. Our room was clean and comfortable and came with a chess table and chess pieces and free minibar (!), although it was a bit small and tight on space. The common area and its restaurant are very nicely decorated and welcoming. The included breakfast was great with a good spread.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 2nd level have direct access to the summer garden with swings and free chilled drinking...

I agree with everything that previous reviewers have written. The cleanliness, service and general attitude of all the staff was exceptional and many hotel chains could do well to emulate the Marrol's example. Although sited in a less than salubrious street, the hotel is within a 5 minute walk from the city square, the old opera house and the dock for the high speed boats to Vienna. The welcome drink offered while checking in was much appreciated and I was astounded to find that the mini bar was free! I only had one meal in the hotel but it was excellent.

My only reservation about writing such a glowing review is that the hotel might become too popular and I might find making another reservation difficult.

Stayed here at the end of April for a business trip and was knocked out, not only by the customer service but that the staffs personality shone out. Way too many hotels want staff to beam smiles and be almost robotic which is annoying to say the least. Not here!

The room was fantastic and we ate at the restaurant. The food at the restaurant was knockout to say the least. I'm sure that there's many places to eat out but we were tired and didn't have the time.

Yes it was a very good hotel. We arrived early and the lovely English speaking receptionist insisted on checking us in to our room.exceptional housekeeping here and still adhere to the five star tradition of turndown.wonderful! However one gripe. The house maids are dressed in French maids mini skirts.we are in 2013!how demeaning for them. They are the front line of the hotel and are terrific workers.please let then dress more appropriately.lunch in the restaurant was lovely but the serves vere very small. Breakfast was lovely but also rationed. I would recommend this hotel but some changes should be made. I would stay here again .
