“Great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 12, 2013

We loved the hotel, excellent service, beautiful comfortable rooms. Very clean and the food is great. I recommend their lunch and dinner. Breakfast is expensive for what they serve. Bratislava is a small city so everything you want to see is at a walking distance and if you get tired taxi cabs are cheap. We enjoyed the opera, walking to the Moldavia River and the incredible architecture of the city. The city is beautiful but be careful because I had my wallet stolen by a family. It was a man carrying a baby, a woman and an older woman, as I was walking into a candy store the managed to have me between them and took my wallet from my purse. Other that that awful experience, everything else was great.

The hotel is nice. Very quite and walking distance from the old town (7 to 10 min). The only problem we had was that our fitted sheet became black after the second day (our new pijamas were discoloring) and they didnt change the sheet. Small personal touch and cleanliness. Other than that, great hotel.

New hotel built using an old villa and a newly built building. It is a medium sized hotel modern land functional decor and comfortable. The old building has kept its original stairs, main door and a magnificent muilti colored glass frontal window perhaps art deco style. Rooms in the old building are quite large.

The location is good as it is within walking distance of historic town ( less than 10 min walk).

Breakfast s good.

Rates are fair and reasonable.

Room Tip: If possible get a room in the old building.

Given its central location in the heart of Bratislava and its large, tastefully furnished rooms as well as the - for Slovakian standards - surprisingly good breakfast buffet, the Abba Hotel would be a good choice.
However, given the dismal state of the internal soundproofing (even if you have one or two other rooms between you and the elevator shafts, the movement of the elevators will sound as if a plane was starting in your room; terrible impact noise as soon as someone moves in the room above you), I would recommend a stay at the Abba Hotel only for very sound sleepers...

Room Tip: Avoid the x17 and x18 rooms, as well as all other rooms in the vicinity of the elevator shafts...

We stayed for 1 night with my partner, very pleasant hotel, helpful staff, beautiful room, extra large & comfy bed!!! We had a room turned into the backyard of the hotel, so it was very calm at night. Very good value for a night stay. Would recommend to anyone. We did not have breakfast in the morning so cannot comment on that.

I really liked this hotel! Was about £50 a night and the location was very good. 10 minute walk from the main station and 10 minute walk into the Old Town.

Hotel room was lovely and big. Bathroom very nice.

Only hiccup we had was that we had asked for late check out and the guy on reception said yes. Then on the day they had forgotten or not logged it against our room. So we had missed calls from the hotel, I assume chasing us up!!
