“Pretty nice hotel at one of the best location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2015

The hotel itself is pretty nice, the service is ok too and its really close to everything what is important at Siófok, but its far away enough from the main party places, so you can have a nice night to sleep if you want. The only problem that is really close to the train station (what is not that bad, if you are go with a train), but the windows are close really nice, so the noise of the train wont disturb you if you close the windows. The food is ok, could be better the wellness should be bigger. The problem with the wellness: the staff wasnt there most of the time, if you wanted something more than turn on the sauna you had to look for them.

Room Tip: You should book your room before you go there on a traveling website like szallas.hu like this cheap...

The room was clean and nice with a large balcony. In the room was very warm (in November), I liked it. Free car parking. Food was good, but for dinner, there was not any free drinks (including fresh water). Wellness area is good and clean, but very small. Staff were friendly.

Room Tip: The highest floor has good rooms (with large balcony).

Decent 3* hotel, spacious room, no thrills, not much to complaint about either. The only downside I should mention is that the WIFI in my room did not work properly. Staff were friendly, breakfast OK.

Siofok is completely deserted on a December evening. Hence the special rate of 32EUR per night makes sense.

If you can negotiate a good rate (maybe only in the low season), the hotel is rather ok. I was at the end of September, so I did not pay very much, for a large roomthat I cannot complain about. The lunches also were good, as well as the breakfast. Unfortunately Siofok during this season is completely dead, and the rainy weather did not help to appreciate the town

The key to this hotel is to get a good price. It is officially a 4* hotel, but it really is not. If your price is more than 50.000 HUF, don't go. We paid much less than that, half pension was included as well, and we were quite satisfied.
The meals at the restaurant are avarage and very Hungarian. There are many choices but not all are good. We didn't go hungry though, we found one or two dishes we were satisfied with.
The spa is okay, the temperature of the sauna was fine, and the opening hours are great, you can go early or late as well.
There is no open-air pool, but if you ask, the staff can provide you sunbeds in the garden. The garden is very nice, you should enjoy. There is a big terrace as well, it is fun to spend time there with a drink.
They make nice cocktails at the bar.
I found the staff very friendly and always ready to serve, they work very hard.
All in all, there are nicer hotels in Hungary but if you get a good deal, you can have a great time here.

Room Tip: There are a few rooms with balconies, check in early and try to get one.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

I was in this hotel middle of november with my wife. Nothing extra... really an average hotel. probably 4*, because of the wellness part only.have saunas (finn-, bio, infra-), salt room jakuzzy, and a pool. You can ask for massage for extra fee. There is also fittness room with weights, machines. Room is not so big, but was ok for 2. Somewhat clean. Only eat breakfast (was in the price), dinner was very expensive, so we skipped that. Breakfast is ok, except the coffee which was awful :-(. Close to lake balaton, but also close to train staiton (good if you come by train, but has negative impacts obviosly).
Was warm everywhere in the hotel...
Staff is very nice, responsive, fullfilled all our extra requests.
Not expensive at all!
Overall not so bad hotel, but was in better in siofok...

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 6, 2012

The hotel is located in a quiet street and only a few minutes walk from the lake and the local restaurants and bars.

The rooms were a reasonable size, had free Wi-Fi and a minibar. The air conditioning in both rooms was poor and as the temperature outside was in excess of 35 degrees during the day, it made for an uncomfortable nights sleep.

The breakfast was good, with a selection of breads, cereals, meats and cheeses as well as some hot food.

The restaurant was also open in the evening however, when we went there and asked in English to see a menu, we were greeted with blank looks as the waiters could not understand us!
There are plenty of restaurants in the main pedestrian promenade, serving all types of food and so there is no need to rely upon the hotel for an evening meal.

Overall the hotel was very good value for money, but was let down by the poor air conditioning in the rooms - a must for a very hot summers day.
