“Good value for money”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2013

This was great value for money with a Laterooms discount. The room for four of us was very basic but clean and large. Not a great location unless you have a car, being quite a way from the town centre. The wellness centre looked nice although we didn't use it. Pleasant staff.

Hi, we spent 2 days here just before Christmas and (5 people in 2 rooms) we couldnt fault the hotel. It is very good value for money, probably better when there are less people so you can enjoy the wellness area better. At the time of our staying there were hardly any people in the building and we had the wellnes area almost for ourselves only but even with more people in there is plenty of space in the sauna (so no worries really..).
The hotel is very clean, stuff is friendly and helpful.
SPECIAL THANKS for the receptionist lady and the waiter at our table, they made us feel not only welcome but also as if we were staying at a 5 star hotel/restaurant.
Food is good and there is plenty of choice.

would recommend it to anyone who wants to discover the city and stay for a few days or for those who wants to stay during a conference.

The hotel itself is nice. It is modern, it is clean, the rooms are large, the 'wellness centre' is very nice to visit (especially the hydrotherapy pool) I do however have 2 main disappointments:

The cleaning staff will service your room some days, however on others they will simply throw your duvet on the bed and that's it. They sometimes won't even bother to hang towels on the radiator if they are on the floor of the shower (which I think is the universal sign of "new towel please".

The restaurant was poor; in terms of service and quality of food. I actually lost weight in the 2 weeks I was here, as after a while I lost the desire to eat. This is not a comment on Hungarian cuisine; I have visited Hungary before and I can say with certainty that I am a fan. The restaurant here however was well below-par. Even the clients at the company I was visiting agreed with this (If I visited again I would most likely try to stay somewhere else).

Room Tip: Higher floors are quieter. Try to avoid being near to conference rooms or communal smoking rooms (ev...

Nice hotel with new furniture. We stayed in the refurbished rooms. Nice beds with good place to sit (chairs, table, couch). Food was good.
A little turndown is the location in the suburbs of Pecs, at the other hand the hotel is located near Tesco.

A great hotel adjacent to the University of Pecs, and within walking distance of several grocery and electronics stores. Helpful staff, excellent complimentary breakfast, VERY clean. My only gripe is that the rooms are very warm, bordering on uncomfortable. The restaurant is nice and cool (being one of the few places in the hotel with air conditioning, it appears. Overall, quite the hotel, worth checking out!

Laterum is a perfect hotel if you're going to the University of Pécs, because part of the campus is just accross the street. Other buildings (like the Medicine School) are further.

Rooms are very big and clean. All of them have 2 tables and a large closet and bathroom. They all have TV and a medium-sized refrigerator. They're also very warm.

The best is that prices were very cheap.

The worst is that city center was far. It's a very long walk, but there are several bus lines nearby.

  • Liked — Great value
  • Disliked — Far from the old town, but still reachable
