Our room (#1) was a lovely room with a balcony and a view of the public gardens.
It was clean and comfortable although at the time our air conditioning was not working.
Breakfast was good.
The staff were helpful when you could find them and this was our only complaint. They should have a bell at the reception as it was awkward searching out someone in the restaurant kitchen for simple instructions etc. No staff at breakfast either.
The restaurant associated with the panzio was good.

Not hard to find. Lovely location in the "valley of beautiful women". Very clean. Victor at check could be a bit more welcoming. The whole time we were never made to feel as if anyone cared we were there. The restaurant was great-good food although service was waiter dependent. Edward was extremely personable. Gypsy music made it worthwhile as they had fun playing. Ask for A/C ahead of time if it is hot. Our room did not have any and it was hard to sleep. Paper thin walls-not very much privacy. Bring your own pillows as the ones here do not provide support.

Eger doesn't have any attractions instead of local wine. Kulacs Csarda Panzio located in bedt area for wine testing, just about 200 meters from wineries...
Hotel has big rooms all made by wood. There is nice country breakfast.
Their restaurant is nice, and all the meals we had ordered were tasty (both fish meals and meat meals).
Some negative things:
Bad room acoustic. You can hear everyone who walk near your room.
Staff doesn't speak English. It's a family pension, so you can find someone from their staff in private area, but the problem is that you have knock their door at least 20 minutes until you will get answer.

So, nice country hotel, bad service....with correlation for price...

We went to their restaurant (Csarda) on January 1st, we arrived there at 9pm after visiting a wine cellar. We asked them if we could still have a dinner, and they said yes.
However, they continuously put us under pressure to order and eat fast, the staff was sitting at a table next to ours starring at us, so we prefered to skip dessert and felt practically thrown out of the restaurant.
It's a pity, the food was really good.
Maybe this is a place only for Hungarian who have dinner at 6pm and go to sleep at 9.

For wine lover Szepasszonvögly is great place and Kulacs Csarda is perfect accomodation for days in Eger area. Short walking distance to many caves. Downtown Eger not that far away (though quite a hill to walk). Building and yard are nice, rooms great, car parking safe and own restaurant is really excellent.
They also serve nice, wide variety, breakfast.

We went to this restaurant twice, so good was our experience the first time. We normally try to vary our eating habits but we just had to go back.We ate outdoors in a beautiful setting. The service was excellent as was the food. For starters try the cheeseboard which when shared between 2 people is still plenty. The catfish was particularly tasty. Our daughter very much enjoyed her boar stew and her venison. A bottle of wine, their best, was only £9 and of high quality. I suppose the close proximity of the wine valley cellars keeps the price down. They provided us with 2 large jugs of tap water when asked. Alas the gypsy music was not there on the second but it did not detract from a thoroughly enjoyable evening.

Room Tip: Excellent food at a reasonable price. Visit the wine cellars first but remember not to leave your me...

This was a very nice B&B. The lobby is small, but the rest of the Panzio is spacious and quaint. The rooms were very clean, nicely decorated, and spacious. There were decks that we sat out on and drank wine at the end of our evening, which was a great way to end this evening. The next morning's breakfast was good, although nothing spectacular. There is a restaurant there that we didn't eat at, but there were musicians there, so that's always a bonus feature! The location of this Panzio is perfect, as it is right along the Valley of The Sirens, where we enjoyed a great evening of wine tasting. It was a shame to only spend one evening here, as there are many wine caves to explore! If I ever return to Eger, this is where I would stay.

Room Tip: Get a room with a patio!
