The Govinda kitchen is similar to many of the Bhakti Vedanta kitchens. The focus is on nutrition and hygiene more than the taste. For example during my visit there was ginger juice on offer and for those who do not know, ginger is an excellent digestive.
The meal is also very balanced and the quantity is not designed to stuff, eat only what is necessary as described in the Vedas.
I was so pleased that I wanted to go there one more time but got to know that they are closed on Sundays or at least it was on that day.
