Rhe Food nothing special and prices are unjustifiable high.
The service is very good though.
I expected much more from the nice looking of the local.

“A piece of history”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

In the past, like 4 years ago, wasabi was a good place. Right now it is finished for me.

If they continue serving rotten fruits and vegetables i am sure they will loose all their customers.

It was so frustrating. Definitely wont go there again.

We have eaten here only once, it was good, but nothing special. We have eaten sushi, it was tasty but i expected something more. And it was a bit expensive, more expensive than the quality deserve.

“Average raw fish”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 2, 2013

Went to Wasabi on Buda side in August to celebrate a birthday, with 7 adult and a 7 yr. old child. I have made reservation and chosen "running sushi", which is an all you can eat experience (35$/person, children discount till 6 yr. old).
Sushi food is running next to the table endlessly with 2 levels of conveyor belt (lv.1 cold food/starters/desserts; lv.2 main courses). The main problem is that the conveyor belt is operating next to the table, so only the 2 persons in the end of the table can reach it; others needs to stand up or ask for food from the 2 lucky. If you are having a dinner/lunch you dont want to ask for every single dish from your table society.
The service was absolutely OK, the waitress explained how to enjoy running sushi, and told if we couldnt find any dish on the belt just ask her and she can bring you some directly (huge plus), we asked for prawns and it was solved.
The service was continous, always came to take empty plates, asked if we may need anything, so it was positive.
The food was ok, but honestly I dont have much experience in japanese food, but the soup was delicious, and I have tried several dishes which all was tasty and fresh.
The other problem was the temperature inside, it was getting hotter and hotter during the evening, i was sweating at the end of the dinner.
They didnt have cakes, so they let us to take a cake with us, it was generous from them.
There was a suprise at the end of the evening, the waitress asked if my girlfriend really have her birthday today, she showed her I.D., so she was a guest of the house for the dinner, lovely, and thanks for that as well.

Beyond running sushi, you can have a lá carte (ordering from the menu card) and Teppanyaki (whole japanese menu, around 5 courses) service, for rookies running sushi is advised.

In a nutshell, we were having a good time in Wasabi with a nice surprise, the child really enjoyed the way of food service (the running sushi), but if You dont really like sushi, You should try another cuisine in Budapest.
