Description: Dionysos moved to the Pest bank of the River Danube on New Year's Eve 1993 and has since delighted the dwellers of our city with delicacies of Greek cuisine and delicious wine of its vineyards. The air is filled with the fragrance of char-grilled meats and fishes, fresh-cut vegetables and crispy-baked homestyle bread. Thanks to the friendly atmosphere, diners chit-chat casually around the tables, which blends pleasantly into the melodies of Greek music playing in the background. It is good to be in this restaurant. The pampering feeling of authentic entertainment accompanies the guests from the moment they enter up until they leave. We hope you visit us soon so that we may entertain you for a few hours here in little Greece of Budapest!

“Happy kids = happy adults”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

Our party of six had a great lunch here today. Imagine the kids surprise when they were each allowed to pick a toy... to keep! Only place I've seen in our week in Budapest and a few days in Vienna that had a kids menu let alone one with extremely health, tasty choices.

The four adults were raving about the food. One appetizer we all loved was the feta/cream/paprika dish.

Service was outstanding. The manager checked on us multiple times and took the time to chat with us for awhile.

While this wasn't the least expensive lunch we had, it also wasn't the most expensive, and we left full with leftovers. We were still talking about the total experience hours later.

“Despite the hype”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 21, 2012

Decided to pay a visit to this highly ranked Greek restaurant the other day...
Warm welcome; everybody said hello. Nice touch.
Food however was below average. Meat was dry, spreads were uninteresting. (I spent a few months in Greece and really like their cuisine.) If you have never tried Greek cuisine, you might like what you get here. If you know what fresh, authentic Greek cuisine is like, you will be disappointed.
Service was condescending and we were ignored for long periods of time.
The flower for ladies at the end of the meal is a nice gesture I guess, but after a boring meal and unpleasant service just felt tacky.

“Excellent”

Very tasty Greek cousine with big portions, friendly service and fair prices - paid about 45 euros for great dinner for 2 persons with a bottle of wine. Highly recommended.

“Love it!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 14, 2012

This is my favorite place to eat in Budapest. The staff is awesome and the food is even better. It does not look like much on the outside, but the inside is nicely decorated and clean. I have never had a bad experience!
