Owner description: Recommended by The New York Times, Corvinteto is a rooftop ruin-bar and a buzzing, modern underground dance club above Blaha Lujza ter. Located on the top floors of a landmark department store, it has a suberb view of the city skyline and friendly prices from 6pm. Then at 10pm, its climatised main hall opens to a lively, 18+ crowd eager to party to wild, loud, hot tunes until dawn. Entry is usually free between 6pm-10pm, programs usually start at 10pm. Please check our web site for daily program listings.

“Open air chill out”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012 via mobile

We read the reviews and got curious. For sure you need to look for the hidden entrance and it looks strange with all the grafity and stickers in the stairhouse, but it's really worth going up there! They have some hot dogs and burgers, really nice staff and it's a cool place to chill out, specially in the summer.

“my favorite club in Budapest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2011

This "underground" club is on the top floor of a building in central Budapest. The atmosphere in CT is very laidback. One of my friends once entered in footballshorts, a dirty and sweaty t-shirt and a backpack so no need to worry about appearance.
CT is a club where people go to dance and enjoy the music instead of socializing. Entrance is affordable most of the times, of course depending on the event. Small beer is about 300ft, that is what I normally order.
I especially recommend the dubstep events! Also a big bonus for the huge terrace in the summer.

“Underground bar on overground”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

From outside, this is place is very unassuming. When you enter the building, you will need to climb up the stairs which is covered in graffiti which gives that "ruin" sort of feel. Once you are in the bar, the place is massive, with each room giving different feel to the place. Unfortunately we were here in October so the roof garden was not available Definitely a very cool place to hang out , given the number of locals here on Wednesday night.
When you exit the place, you will need to take a lift with a lift boy inside - what a way to finish the night!

“Have a drink while sitting under the stars.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 25, 2011

This club was mentioned in New York Times in July, which a friend passed onto me. We we a little skittish when we were told to walk down a side street to get to the main entrance, as we are both senior citizens. But nothing to worry about, except the elevator was not to be used to enter the club that night. We climbed 10 flights of stairs (husband not happy) through grafitti covered stairwell and I wondered what we got ourselves into. Enventually we got into the bar where there's a stage. A rap group was playing, not my favorite type of music, so we ventured upstairs. The whole of a good sized bldg rooftop had lots of tables and chairs and a generous sized bar, under a beautiful sky. We had great fun watching young men vying for the attention of some attractive young women. Elevator available to go down. Would go back again.
