“Great for the price!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 6, 2013

This hotel is in a great location directly beside St. Stephen's Basilica. My husband and I walked everywhere we needed because it's all walking distance from the hotel. The rooms are kind of small but tasteful which is typical of Europe. The breakfast was plentiful and filling. The room sometimes had a smell like bad sewage or something coming from the bathroom but not unbearable. As we visited in December the Christmas markets were going on and the hotel is centrally located between all three of the markets.

Very good rooms, excellent staff, great location - market within 50m and only 10 mins walk to Vasmaty square large market. Light show on Basilica and quietier food market was an added bonus - plus all the spas and other things to see and do in city not far away by bus, tram and loads of taxis.

Really can't find anything negative to say about this hotel! Great location to explore the city by foot and the metro and tram are also really close by. The room was fairly basic but very clean and tidy and a good size. Breakfast was fine with a good selection and the staff were very helpful. Thoroughly recommend it.

Very impressed with the location of this hotel especially as the price was very reasonable. Interesting shops nearby along with a very good choice of resturants in easy walking distance. Also very close to the square to catch the hop on hop off bus. Continental breakfast was a bonus incuded in the price. All in all very pleasant stay in a lovely city.

For a budget hotel this was extremely good. The reception staff were extremely helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Rooms were a good size, clean and comfortable. Buffet style breakfast gave a good choice which varied slightly day to day. The hotel location is superb right next to the Basilica and centrally located for all tourist attractions (everything is within walking distance). This price is superb for this quality of hotel, I would return tomorrow.

The location of this hotel is excellent - it looks out on to the Basilica and is in walking distance of all of the main tourist attractions. There are also plenty of restaurants and bars close to the hotel.

We stayed in one of the apartments which had two separate bedrooms and bathrooms and a common living area. The apartment was basic but functional and clean. The staff were extremely helpful and happy to provide us with a kettle, extra pillows when requested.

Two small grumbles: there was no complimentary water and you had to pay for wi-fi. The wi-fi was slow and kept on dropping out which is not acceptable when you have to pay for it.

However, I would stay in this hotel again due to its location.

Stayed here in early October (marathon weekend), great location, nice area and close to most things.

Rooms are spacious clean and comfortable. Bed was low but very comfortable. The buffet breakfast is the typical continental with meats, cheeses and pastries, Not to every ones taste but this a European hotel.

The staff here are very friendly and couldn't enough to help. We booked the return transfer via hotel and couldn't have easier considering there were 12 of us. I contacted reception to arrange for flowers and champagne for my wife's birthday which they did for a very reasonable cost.

Only disappointment was lack of lounge or bar to meet friends or go back to, especially on Sunday when most places closed by midnight.

Would I stay here again? Definitely.

Room Tip: Rooms are front have great view but be prepared for 6am bells!
