“Reasonable deal, average place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

It is a pension managed by Sylvia and her husband. She speaks a very good English and is fantastic as a concierge (very knowledgeable, helping make reservations we need for shows and restaurants). Rooms are comfortable and clean, outdated furniture, renovated bathroom with a very small shower enclosure.
Breakfast OK. Parking on premises. Free Wi-Fi.
In order to go to the city center, you walk 2 blocks, take the public bus (every 10 min) and after 25 min you reach the metro station. By the end of a very busy day visiting the city, you feel the distance.

Very good B&B in a very quiet neighborhood of Budapest. It is not very far from the center of the city. Front desk was very friendly and helpful - speak good English, breakfast was "klein und fein". At first you may have small difficulties in finding the place - there are three streets with the same name, you have to check the numbers. Would certainly stay here again.

Room Tip: room 4 is nice and quiet, with a small balcony towards the inner terrace

very good BB, reception is very kind and helpful, I enjoyed staying in this pension, rooms are clean and cosy, hotel area is green, quiet at night, which I put in the first place as opposed to an inner city accomodation

We visited friends in Budapest and we stayed at this wonderful little pension. Szilvia took very good care of us. She comes and checks the rooms every day, making sure we had everything we needed. We had a very clean room, I could even smell the freshness after we came back from town. The breakfast was really nice to start the day with, so we made a very good choice for the price we paid! Thank you!

The owner is the real deal, does not just go thru the motions but really cares that you are happy and taken care of. Takes the time to go the extra 100 miles, for advice to plan your day or your trip, to make custom eggs for breakfast, to make sure you have everything you need in your room. The place is nice, the rooms are clean and modern. The fact that it is in the suburbs is a slight inconvenience that I would gladly suffer again to stay here. The busstop is a 2 minute walk, comes frequently and drops you off at the metro after a 15min ride. 3 mins on the metro and you are downtown. Taxi (without traffic) was 2100huf from downtown. Bottom line: if you don't need to come back to your room mid-day, I could not imagine anything coming close in value for money and good vibes.

We stayed for 3 nights in this pension. Everything was ok, Szilvia was very helpful, she speaks English very well and is always there to help you, show you everything on map or tells you what kind of Hungary wine/sausage to buy.
Our room was small, but nice and clean (cleaned everyday),comfortable beds. As the pension is outside the center,it is quiet there. Breakfast was good, you can also get a tasty omellett.
The bus 139 stops like 3 minutes of walk from pension,it rides often and to the last stop (Szell Kalman ter) it is about 15 minutes. To Buda castle you can get on Szell Kalman ter on bus 16,so you will be there in 20 minutes. To the Pest you can get on subway on Szell Kalman and ride downtown -e.g. to Opera it took us like 40 minutes wih the transfers.

We recently spent 7 nights at Villa Korall and were looked after conscientiously and very efficiently by the host Szilvia Aradi. Szilvia's local knowledge and perfect English was of great assistance to us in planning to make best use of our time in Budapest. Our double room was clean, warm and comfortable. All our requests were met with enthusiasm. The Continental breakfast was plentiful. We enjoyed the quiet out of City safe neighbourhood with no traffic noise. Travelling on the very frequent public transport from the Villa was easy. Our pickup from the airport and drop off was all pre arranged by our host Sziliva. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Korall and are already planning a return visit.
