“Stay at Locust/Nova apartments”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013

Our stay has been great. Finding the place was a little difficult but once we got to the apartments, the staff was friendly and helpful and the apartment was great (good location, clean and comfortable). I will probably book a flat here again.

The apartment we got was very nice - big kitchen with all the utilities, nice bathroom and a cozy bedroom, there was also a balcony which we didn't utilize in this cold. We only stayed for one night but will definitely come back if I need a longer stay.

I choose this place on internet and when i arrived there the place was totally different from the picture shown on the web. Wifi is poor and sometime is neither working at all.
The flat is clean but is very cold and the sheets on the bed are terrible.
The parking (12 euro per day) is really small and is ok just for a normal sedan car.
I arrived here with my reservation on booking and they ask me the 8% more to pay with card...and generally no one is going around with 750€ in local currency in cash..

We stayed at Locust Tree Apartments for 5 days and it was a great choice. The apartments are centrally located, fully furnished and very spacious. The price was also very competitive, we made our reservation through booking.com and we just payed about 45 euros per night for the two bedroom apartment.
The staff at the reception was also very friendly and helpful.

The only minus was the pillows in the bedroom which was kind of uncomfortable, but apart from that we really liked the place and we would be glad to come back.

Great apartment. Stayed here with a friend for a long weekend. Clean and tidy with everything you would need for your stay. The apartment was spacious too. We asked for extra towels and got them straight away. It's very close to plenty of bars and pubs, but not too close so we had no noise or anything like that. Friendly staff. I would stay here again.

For roughly €20 per head per night, this really is a gem of a place. Located just one or two stops from the city centre on the easy-to-use Metro system, the English-speaking staff were extremely helpful and friendly. If, like us, you don't take laptops, tablets or smartphones on holiday, then you'll appreciate the communal iPad available in reception, which came in very handy for directions, quick google searches and the likes. The company also offer a service whereby they can collect you from the airport for a reasonable €22 (if 4 people or under) - useful if your flight gets in late. Upon our arrival reception had closed, but it posed no problems as the caretaker/security guy in charge was expecting us and provided our keys at 11pm at night - we weren't pressurised to pay, quite the opposite as I took it upon myself to approach reception about payment the following day. The apartment itself was modernly furnished, with an entire kitchen full of cooking equipment and a clean microwave and electric oven. The only slight gripe I have with our stay was that the TV they provided didn't work. I'm not one for retiring to the room on holidays, but on one day I picked up a tummy bug and wished to make use of their free DVD rental facilities. I was promised maintenance would sort out the TV, but no one arrived. Other than that, I can't praise this place enough - I'd certainly book again.

Room Tip: If you're going in May/June/July ensure you request a room beyond the first floor, these have th...

The location is ideal in terms of visiting the centre of BUdapest. The downside is that in particular during the weekend, it is very noisy and you have to close your windows. The appartment is well equipped and 4 people can stay there comfortably.
