Stayed at Best Western Premier Parlament from October 8th to 11th, 2006.
Location: Close (5-10 min walk) to 2 subway lines and to tram#2 stop, that runs along Danube enbankment (Pest side). You will not need a taxi to go sightseeing.
The surrounding area is not so beautiful, be we did not have any problem, even coming back from dinner late at night.
Rooms: We had a room with a balcony facing internal courtyard; the room was extremely quiet. Double bed are 2 single beds pushed together (not very nice...). A/C worked perfectly, LCD TV, bathroom amenities, no bathtub though. Modern furniture.
Breakfast: Excellent!! The breakfast room is very nice, with modern and beautiful silverware. Juices, cereals, hot dishes (sausages, fried and scrambled eggs), juices, several kinds of bread, cheeses, coffee machine, etc... Same menu every morning...
Reception: All support I needed (plug adaptor, for instance) was kindly given... only one person works at reception per shift... so, you have to be patient and wait your turn.
Internet mostly available (2 machines) and works very well. Had some problems with the electronic keys (had to request to program them again a couple of times).
Hint: When going down for breakfast, leave one of the electronics key on the master light switch, otherwise you will find the chambermaid cleaning your room when you come back to your room just after breakfast!!
Others: External facade is not so nice as website pictures...
Budapest is a beautiful city, especially the Buda castle area!! We did not know about what to expect, due to some mixed reviews... we were not disappointed at all. Definitely worths a visit!!
