“Modern hotel near city centry (Pest), great service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 12, 2013

Good location in a quiet street within a 5 minute walk from the metro station and the city centre of Pest. Don't be fooled by the small entrance, because behind it there is a modern spacious hotel with a very friendly staff. Large choice at breakfast, stylish rooms with everything you need and a small but very nice wellness room (free of charge). In walking distance of lots of restaurants and bars and a supermarket for all your needs (Aldi, but probably not as you know it). The only downside we can think of is the bathroom door, which doesn't offer much (audible) privacy.

“Hidden Gem”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

My granson and I had just finished a trip down the Danube River. We were tired and ready to get to our hotel. I was surprised to find the charming and upscale hotel. I expect Best Western to be a certain level but this one is brand new. One of the things most important to me is how the staff treats not only me but other people I observe them dealing with. All the staff were great, but I would like to mention Ibolya by name as she went out of her way to assist us with every request. I would recommend this hotel to anyone who needs a quiet, nice hotel. The only drawback was there were very few nice restaurants within a few blocks. It's ok to walk when the weather is nice, but when it's cold and snowy, take a taxi.

“Staff who couldn't be more helpful.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 10, 2013

Myself and two of my friends stayed in this hotel in November 2012 after reading recommendations on TA. We were not disappointed. The hotel is in a great location - about 5 mins walk from the Parliament building. We walked everywhere on the Pest side of the city which took no more than about 25-30 minutes.

The staff were what made our trip so good. They were always on hand for advice on places to go, good restaurants etc and made reservations for us and booked taxi's. Nothing was too much trouble and they were extremely knowledgeable. It was a surprise trip for my friend's birthday and they surprised her with a handwritten card and a bottle of chilled prosecco which was a lovely touch. We also organised a transfer from the airport which was competitively priced and made getting to the hotel so much easier.

We had two rooms on the same floor. Both were modern and spotlessly clean. The bathroom was gorgeous! Little toiletries are provided, and each room has a safe and there is free Wifi.

Breakfast was varied - continental cold meats & cheese as well as cooked bacon, eggs and grilled tomatoes. There was a range of bread and pastries, as well as cereal, yoghurt, fresh juice, tea and coffee. There was even prosecco if you wanted it! Alike many people who have written a review - the only downside was the space available. The tables were set up to seat two so it was often hard finding a space when there were three of us, and it did get very busy at certain times. I think at weekends they should think about extending the breakfast time slightly. One of the days we stayed they did have an additional room open which alleviated the problem but it was shut on the second day.

Budapest is a lovely city and I would certainly recommend staying at this hotel to any of my friend or family that visit in the future.

“Lush place at Xmas!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

This hotel is great all round. The staff were extremely helpful, helping us to find our way around and booking trips and restaurants for us. We went for 4 days in December 2012 as a little extra honeymoon which I mentioned to the hotel via email beforehand. They upgraded our room and left champagne, chocolates and a card for us! How lovely was that. The room was lovely and clean and breakfast was spot on, lots of choice and very fresh. The cocktail lounge was fab, having a weekly special cocktail on the menu at a discount and the barman was very effiecient and kind. The hotel in is a great location. The hotel also has 2 laptops in the lobby for free guest use which was great for checking into our flight and printing off our boarding cards.A 10 minute walk to Vorosmarty square where the main Christmas market was and close to there is where you meet for trips etc. We had a lovely time and if we ever go back to Budapest, we wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: We had room 301- had a lovely balcony :)

“Fantastic service Great location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 4, 2013

In our entire East Europe itinerary, this hotel left an indelible impression for us because of the fabulous service it provided. Hotel staff were friendly and helpful as we had lots of questions each day about dining places, transportation, places of interest etc. The questions were patiently and politely answered each time at the front desk and not brushed away like we experienced at other hotels on this trip. On the morning that we left at an ungodly hour of 5am, the hotel staff even packed a breakfast pack for us which was really substantial. That we never received from any other hotels too whenever we had to leave early and could not make the breakfast time. Best Western Premiere, you've got my vote as a great hotel to stay in Budapest which I'll recommend!
