“Great hotel for a city trip”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 5, 2011

We spent 4 nights in this hotel, december 2011. I like this place because of it's location, in the middle of Pest, perfect fot sightseeing and you can walk to several bars and restaurants within minutes. The subway station 'Kosstuh Lajos Ter' is only a 10 minute walk away from the hotel, the Chainbridge about 20 minutes. The rooms are good, bit small in size but very comfortable. Personel is friendly, the bar is nice and with a great selection in cocktails. Free internet, nice and clean welness and the breakfast is very good. The restaurants (hungarian cuisine) suggested by the staff were amazing. I would centainly recommend this hotel for a sightseeing tour or romantic citytrip.

The hotel is just fab, from the staff to the rooms. We arrived in Budapest tired after having traffic delays in the uk and with Wizzair at the airport, then the Wizzair bus had gone without us. We were greeted at the hotel with happy and very polite staff, straight away we were given a room. When we looked at the room, it was not for us because of the slanted roof. We came back to the delightful receptonist, she changed our room to which we we were extremely happy with. I must say the bathroom is on the large size, with a shower which is very good.

The bedroom I rate is of good quality, the downside is the the pillows only one of poor quality so it might be best to ask for extra pillows. Breakfast is the best, everything you could wish for with an excellent choice to set you up for the day. Again the the staff were just excellent, the area was kept clean at all times.

The hotel is extemely clean, with friendly staff and central for anyone visiting Budapest. We were given a quiet room on the third floor, until the early hours when the dogs start barking. The aircon is quite strange, seems as though nobody understands it.

Room Tip: Try to get a room that faces inward, and ask if there is many dogs staying there because they do giv...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Hotel Parlament. We had such a great time last year we decided to take my parents this time who have never been to Budapest. Was the trip a success? Well, I've just got off the phone to my Father who described the hotel as 'fantastic' (and believe me they've stayed in a lot of hotels all over the world!)
The rooms are clean and fresh with contemporary styling. The bathroom comes with a great shower (there's no bath, but then again I have never required a bath on holiday.) Again it's very clean and modern. We required an extra pillow and coat hangers (as usual!) and within 15 minutes the friendly and polite porter appeared with our request. My Father had a problem with his safe on the first night (the previous occupants found it funny to lock the safe door before they left) however we went for a short walk and when we came back it had been fixed.
Breakfast is a wonderful experience, with a great buffet selection in a lovely area with a glass roof. There are two beverage machines for your morning hot drink (I recommend the hot chocolate!) The staff are very friendly and keep the tables clean and food replenished.
There is also a 'Wellness Area' with jacuzzi and sauna which we made use of.
The reception staff were very helpful and answered all my questions and treated me in a friendly manner.
The position of the hotel is ideal. It is only 10 minutes away from Andrássy út and St. Stephen's Basilica (leading to the Chain Bridge and Castle Hill). The Hungarian Opera House is not far away and is worth seeing a performance if you get the opportunity. All in all this is a fantastic hotel and one of our favourites. We will definately be staying at the Hotel Parlament next time we visit Budapest!
We stayed at the hotel in mid-November.

Excellent, clean. modern hotel just off the centre of Pest but just right for getting out and about.

We were warned of cold in Budapest in mid-November. But the weather was kind and the hotel was excellent. They arranged a taxi from the station - reasonable cost and good to be met. Arrived at the hotel 0930 and no problem about room availability, even breakfast as well.
Spacious room, comfortable bed, good bathroom. Everything freshly decorated and good quality. But note that while the shower doors are stylish and smart they have to be adjusted absolutely right or the floor is wet all over.
Breakfast a good range of choice and fresh - no worry about constant replacement of food but check the temperature of the coffee making machine. The left hand one was definitely cooler than the right, which was perfect.
Computer access good, reception staff, like all the others, friendly and helpful.
Note the spelling of 'Parlament' if you are checking the site on line. The area is quiet and there are lots of banks and residential blocks - ten minute walk to the tourist areas.

Room Tip: We were happy with what they gave us - the hotel seemed nearly full, but at peak holiday times you m...

The hotel is ideally situated only a 10 minute walk to the Parliament Building. It's in a side street so no traffic noise at night and looks good as soon as you arrive. A lift to all floors. Secure Wi-Fi for the Internet in all rooms. The reception staff, who all spoke very good English were efficient and extremely helpful on all occasions, nothing was too much trouble. They advised on places to see and restaurants to use and which public transport to use, drawn on a map to carry with you for reference. The rooms were very good, modern with comfortable beds and cleaned thoroughly everyday. Breakfast wow! the best breakfast buffet I've ever seen. We stayed at 4 star Hotel Parlament at the end of October for 4 nights on a sightseeing trip and we recommend it everyone.

Room Tip: They are all good
