“A really pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 25, 2012

Booked through Expedia and considering how little we paid, was not expecting such a nice quality hotel. Spacious, clean rooms, nice bathroom, massive bed (great for a very tall couple like us) and excellent service from staff. Very quiet rooms, couldn't hear a thing once inside. Slightly too hot at night but not really a problem. Breakfast had good variety and choice from day to day. Great location for exploring as Metro stop 5 mins away and trams linking you to the whole city within minutes, ideal really. Some good things in walking distance: Natural History museum and Holocaust Museum, Old Market Hall, Freedom Bridge, Raday Utca for evening meals all within 10 min walk, and we walked into the centre of Pest within 20 mins along some nice streets and areas. Overall, very impressed with such a nice hotel and helpful staff at a great price.

“Definitely not 4 star but bad 3 stars”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed November 19, 2012 via mobile

Close to metro station. A shopping centre nearby. Rooms are fine.

But the bathroom is stupid. Towers are dirty. Wifi is only available in lobby. Staff took a photo on me when I am sitting in lobby (i am Asian) breakfast is the worst. Orange juice is diluted chemical mixture. Bread same food for three days. I wont come back for sure

“Polite friendly staff.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

Arrived at hotel and was treated very well. Asked for another pillow and was delivered to the room promptly. Breakfast was good, something for everyone and replenished regularly. The juices were not great but not a problem. The rooms were comfortable although limited on wardrobe space and very hot. A good budget hotel with very good staff.

“Wonderful Budapest”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 10, 2012

We arrived Budapest from London, get a book of 10 tickets from the newsagent in the airport - valid for bus, tram and metro. Take the 220E bus outside the terminal to the nearest metro station and get on Line 3. After 7 stops, alight at Corvin Negyed station, look out for Utta ut exit and another 3 to 5 minutes walk, you will arrive at the hotel.
It's receptionist speaks English, friendly and helpful. You can get Free wifi in your room. The room is adequate, air conditioned and clean. The bathroom is a bit on the small side and water from the shower run off to the floor - due to poor design. Breakfast is good. We left early morning on our last day and ask for a food parcel, it was dully provided. Ideal for using it as a base. It is in District 5 but walking distance to District 1, where most of the sightseeing sites are. It is also near the food street in Budapest and many restaurants and bars you can choose from.

Room Tip: We stayed on the first floor so the wifi signal was good. No guarantee if you have a room higher up...

“Not 4 star but definitely a 3 star Excellent”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 8, 2012

My best friends are found in the newspaper Excellent Deal for 3 nights in Budapest for $ 400 including airfare and hotel. And I found the hotel city inn. Everywhere registered four star but I think it's only 3 star but very good. We came to the hotel at 21:00 pm and was working at the reception. We waited 10 minutes for someone to come help. I think he goes to smoke outside. But he was very nice and let us beautiful rooms in the old wing. But you know if you get good rooms so I say to you if you take an elevator to the right of the reception so it's old rooms division, but if you take a new elevator behind the desk at the entrance to dining room so you get a new wing. The room is very clean and has lots of pillows on the bed but I could not find even one convenient for me. Air Conditioning, it worked great and it was great. Breakfast is like 5 stars I liked a lot and a lot of variety. There are also great views of the hotel garden. If you want a heated swimming pool just across the street and it costs 6 euros per day. The hotel's location is good right next to the big shopping center of Budapest corvin new plaza and it is also open on Sunday with a huge supermarket in the basement just 50 meters away and there is a new street with cafes near all area renewed and refurbished. But if you are really a bit hungry at night then leave the hotel right across the main road has a 24-hour convenience store and a shop Internet and international telephone dialing Shale to two nice guys from Afghanistan

Room Tip: New rooms in the back. There is a new elevator
