“Perfect Location, amazing breakfest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 9, 2012

I found this hotel with help of tripadvisor and I cannot imagine better choice. First of all, location is PERFECT! It is literally 50 steps from Andrassy ut and from the Opera, but all attractions are within walking distance. ALL! Stuff was extremaly helpful with maps and other suggestions about Budapest and offered us delicious welcoming coffee, which felt relly nice! We had a double room and it was big enough with kettle and different tea to choose and really comfortable bathroom with shower. It was a little bit cold first night, but you culd regulate temperature in the room yourself. Breakfest was awesome! Huge variety and so so delicious! Highly recommended

Room Tip: some rooms does not have internet signal

The Casati Budapest virtually faces the Opera; it is on a very quiet, tiny street that parallels the large Andrassy Ut. The spotlessly refurnished Metro Line 1 is less than a minute's walk away.

The building's exterior is old, but the renovations of the Casati are clean, polished, and somewhat avant-garde. Our room on the 4th floor was very large; the bathroom was very large. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the linens were great.

The morning's buffet breakfast was large and varied. The front desk was helpful whenever we needed anything.

Our time in Budapest was lovely, and the Hotel Casati helped to make it so. If I ever return to Budapest it will also be to the Casati!

Room Tip: We had a room facing the interior courtyard, and it was absolutely silent.

Budapest is such a friendly, welcoming, accessible city and the Hotel Casati is a perfect match. My room was lovely - quiet, uncluttered -a space in which to relax. My Budapest goal this trip was to attend a performance at the Opera House (which was excellent) and the Hotel Casati is only one-half a block from the Opera House. The hotel is located on a quiet street. The staff are delightful - smiling and helpful. Not only is this my favorite hotel in Budapest - it is simply one of my favorite hotels anywhere.

Dear Kinloch,
What a pleasant feeling to read that you have enjoyed your stay in Budapest. Our friendly staff always welcomes your questions and doubts 24/7. In December, the fairly acknowledged Nutcracker by Csajkovszkij and La Bohéme by Puccini are on stage, you should not miss the chance to watch them!
We hope you can return soon to explore Budapest with Casati.
Best wishes for the New Year!

This hotel is awesome. It was recently renovated and is very modern, hip and super clean. It's also located in the middle of Budapest, close to the major sites and close to the metro.

The breakfast it awesome! They have a wide selection of meats, cheeses and rolls as well as eggs and hot sausages.

The staff really goes out of their way to accommodate guests. I kept going to the desk to ask help with directions or tickets and the staff was super helpful. This place was awesome, I'd recommend to my friends/family and I would stay there again.

Dear Asafa,
Thank you very much for your kind review, it is a pleasure for us to read that we could satisfy all your needs. You are right, for those who like the total silence in the city center, we offer rooms overlooking the courtyard covered with colorful ivy.
During Christmas time, the beautiful Christmas Market on Vörösmarty Square is only 10 minutes away from us, don’t miss the chance to see Budapest dressed in Christmas lights!
We wish you a Merry Christmas and all the best for the New Year!

Great boutique hotel in Budapest. Half a block from the Opera House and just off Andrassy Ut. Street itself looks a little rundown because of building work, but the hotel is a haven once you get inside. Sensitively updated to a very modern, clean style, you can choose from several different types of room. We chose Cool, and were pleased with the style and comfort. The bathroom is wonderful - big walk-in shower, underfloor heat, and a large warm towel rack. Decent selection for the included buffet breakfast, in an interesting covered (glassed in) courtyard setting. We had a room facing the street but there was no noise at all. Helpful reception staff. Walk to the river (and most of main sights) only 15 minutes or so. We had lunch at the Callas, next to Opera House and I would recommend that for setting, food and price. There are a good number of cafes and restaurants in the area. I'd also recommend using the local metro system - convenient and easy to use, and the number 1 line is a joy to behold with the old cars and wood panelled stations. I booked directly with the hotel (via its website) and the value was excellent. Highly recommended.

Dear OntheroadBklyn,
Thank you for your kind review. We are happy that we could make even better your vacation. Besides being close to the Opera and the river, Casati Hotel is only two corners away from the so-called Broadway (Nagymező Street), the most colorful and fizziest part of the nightlife of Budapest. Do not hesitate to contact us when you are in the city again!

Such a lovely place with friendly service! I usualy stay in a large hotel, but I made an exemption this time because I read so many excellent comments here. This was the best hotel I stayed in during my holiday in Europe.
The rooms are immaculate, the staff is very polite (except the older black lady at breakfast, but I guess she had a bad period).
The decoration is colorfull and modern, the location could not be better.
Only the light is too bright in the bathroom due to glas wall you cannot use it during the night without waking up your partner.
I definetly will come back again.

Dear Natasha S,
Thank you for your feedback. As from today we have freshly baked croissant at breakfast. I can assure you that this is not typical for the black lady at breakfast. We are looking forward to welcome you agan in Casati.
