“Fun and scary adventure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013

I was walking these ancient caves and labyrinths on my own, which was a fun and yet a bit scary experience. Very unique setting and absolutely worth a visit. But not with small kids because it is a bit scary, and here you can get seriously lost.

“Ancient experience”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

Down below the 500 years old Castle of Buda this labirynth takes us back in time. You can wander alone or in groups and can even ask to turn off the lights for a special experience. A good place to discover yourself.

“Waste of time and money”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 28, 2012

Very rarely do I find that I wish I had completely skipped an attraction, but this one falls in that category. There's next to no explanation of these caves, which makes the bizarre mannequin opera scenes in the decorated subterranean even more confusing and less interesting. We arrived at around 5:30pm and a half hour into the tour they turned out the lights and gave us an oil lantern. They get points for creativity, but instead of adding a touch of period realism to our tour, we found that it just took us longer to find our way out because we couldn't see. Do yourself a favor: don't go.

“Unintentionally humorous. Equally creepy.”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed December 26, 2012

We've enjoyed touring the Naples Underground here in Italy and thought the Labyrinth might be equally interesting. 2,000 HUF to get in didn't seem excessively unreasonable. But once we crossed the turnstiles, it started to get.... weird.

Here's my theory: they had a fire sale on 1970's manequins and the Labyrinth's manager thought "We MUST buy these!" I don't recall knowing why exactly there were all of these manequins, it had something to do with a Verdi (Italian) opera about the assassination of the King of Sweden set in Boston (USA). So, why was it in Budapest again?? Between that, the creepy manequin behind Dracula's fake grave, the extra creepy smoke machine and scary opera music, my husband popping out from the darkness of a corner made me nearly pee my pants. Don't take this too seriously, but it did provide for great WTF??? pictures.

“Dark caves, pointless”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed December 16, 2012 via mobile

2000HUF per person to get in, very dark wet caves under buda castle. Maze with limited info. It would be much better if we were in a tour
