Having visited many botanical gardens all round Europe, I found this one well maintained and nicely set out. Easy to get to on the Metro 3 line, just two stops from central Budapest and a quick walk round the corner. An inexpensive entrance fee - about £1. Maps and labels make for an interesting walk round the trees and stream. There is a beautiful palm house with very healthy plants - maybe not the most exciting collection. Many cactus, orchid and succulent greenhouses making this a suitable venue for a poor weather day.
