“Great staff and great food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 16, 2014

We where a bit unsure since the restaurant is located in one of the more touristy parts but when we looked at the reviews here together with the price we gave it a shoot.

First of all the staff is really great, helpful, friendly and professional so thumbs up for them.

The food for the price is great, we had two different pastas and both where all in all great (as always in eastern Europe the pasta is at least a bit overcooked)

“Love the pizza!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

Been here once before and decided to go back with 4 friends. We alll had different types of pizza and we were all very happy with our meal. Will go back when I find myself in need of a good pizza!

“Great food, good prices”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014 via mobile

Good offer is "tourist menu" available till 5pm, cheap, tasty and big portion. Nice idea to mix Hungarian and Italian cuisine. I suppose that we will come back there.

“Great Pizza - one of the best in Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2014

This place is situated along a busy tourist strip on Vaci St so it could easily be mistaken for a tourist trap. It definitely isn't.

The place itself has an outside terrace and an interior which is trattoria gingham tablecloth style.

The welcome was polite and efficient, as was the service. The staff spoke perfect English.

The pizzas are reasonably priced and arrive on a wooden slab - quite good for retaining heat and much better than a stone cold ceramic plate. The pizzas are oval rather than round.

The pizzas are simply amazing. The bases are thin, crispy and very light. They have obviously worked hard to get this absolutely right.

The wine list features lots of Hungarian options (I always avoid these, just my personal preference) but there is a small selection of Italian wines. The Montepulciano was OK, not spectacular. No Prosecco on offer, only Hungarian fizz (yuk) or Spumante (even less appealing). Otherwise you have to brace yourself for the very expensive Moet.

The Tiramisu was lovely.

Service charge was included. I do not agree with this practice, but I can understand it in such an area where many tourists may dine and not leave anything.

We arrived early but the place filled up quickly. We will definitely return - this is one of the best pizzas you will get in Budapest. The only point of criticism would be the disposable napkins and the awful plastic ornamental fruit basket on the table. With a few tweaks, this place could be a lot classier.
