“Brilliant Apartment in an excellent location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 22, 2014

I was really shocked to find such an excellent apartment, right in the centre of Budapest for such a reasonable price. The room was very clean and had all facilities I required and I found the staff very approachable and friendly. I would not hesitate to stay here again when next visiting Budapest.

Budapest City Apartments are really fantastic. Starting from the friendly staff, excellent position of the apartments, comfortable and clean rooms, free parking on the location nearby and free internet. Those who decide to stay at these apartments won't regret it!

The apt was very clean and all refurbished on the inside, but the building itself needs a lot of work. There's an elevator, our unit was on the3rd floor. You will need 4 different keys to access 4 separate doors till you get to into the apt. Once in there is a bedroom with a full size American bed not a queen. There's a bathroom with a bathtub, a full kitchen and living room with a couch a tv and a table for eating.
The location is in Buda right over the Chain Bridge. If you want a more touristy area stay in Pest. The neighborhood was quite and safe for walking at night. There is a trolley stop about 5 mins away.
Overall for the money we paid it was a good deal.

Room Tip: Most of the attractions are on the Pest side. Choose a place there unless you don't mind the lit...

Stayed here with my girlfriend while in Budapest for 3 days. The location was perfect for us, just beneath the castle and about 5 minutes walk from the metro and supermarket. You can also walk across the chain bridge to central Pest in about 15 minutes. The building itself is very old and beautiful, quite atmospheric and the apartment we had was very nice and comfortable, with well equipped kitchen, good wifi, nice bed, nice shower... Our host Elod was very friendly and helpful when we arrived. Would definitely stay here again if I ever get back to Budapest.

I stayed in the Dali apartment , which is one of three off a common entrance. It was lovely, clean and modern in a really central location.
When you arrive the initial impression of the building can be a bit off-putting! It is this big gothic building with a door like a church! You open the door and there is this portcullis type gate that lets you into an entrance hall! You can tell it was, in its day, an incredibly imposing entrance hall – but now it has no paint on the walls and looks quite neglected! Apparently they can’t paint it because it has to be restored to its former glory with gilt and stuff – it is a world heritage site! So until they can afford to restore it, it has to stay as it is! Anyway once you make your way up to the first floor you will be very impressed with the apartments – really modern and well appointed! They have good cooking facilities, a fridge, and TV and free wifi. Their location is excellent – on one side you have the hill up to the royal palace etc and on the other side is the chain bridge into the city centre. Trams run from the end of the road and these link up with the underground – so everything is really easy to get to.
Top tip! You buy a ticket to travel as far as you want in one direction on a tram, tube or bus. Inside the carriages there are machines to validate your ticket for the journey – remember to do this! I didn’t and get caught by a ticket inspection and fined about £20 – I tried my best ‘I no speakie de language’ impersonation – but it did no good!!

Room Tip: The apartments provide a full range of toiletries - which is very useful to know if you are travelli...
