“"Style and Service"”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 7, 2013

Our New Year's cruise on the Danube began in cold and blustery Budapest. However, our greeting received at the Zenit Budapest Palace was warm and welcoming, as was our entire two night stay. After very long and delayed flights from California and enduring lost luggage on arrival, the hotel staff was sensitive and very accommodating to our plight. To "ease our pain" they upgraded us to a deluxe room and provided us with the necessary items to get through the night and next day.

The staff immediately called the airport to help locate our lost luggage and then coordinated throughout the next day to ensure our bags arrival at our Viking ship before departing from Budapest. And, I might add, with much appreciation from us!
The Zenit Palace is beautiful reincarnation of a historic 19th century building converted into a classic combination of "old-world" style with a sleek modern attitude. The hotel has a comfortable sophisticated vibe, yet retains a warm and hospitable feel. Located in center city it is perfectly situated for all your Budapest explorations. I heartily recommend the Zenit for your Budapest stay.

Room Tip: Superior and Deluxe rooms with separate living area and bedroom are extremely comfortable.

Extreme advantage - location. Right in the city center, close to Danube river.
Rooms are quite small, but large enough to fit in a baby cot. Clean and calm with good service level. The staff was very helpful and friendly. The only disadvantage was that our room was too close to router and none of apple gadgets worked with wifi :( so I had to use a lobby (room 212).

First impressions were great, the hotel is very modern and clean (decorated in a Scandinavian style) reception staff pleasant and helpful on check in.
I was given room 229 which is at the end of the corrridor on the second floor. The room was clean and confortable but very small. it had an inter-connecting door with another room which was quite annoying, you could hear absolutely everything next door, made even worse by the rooms having wooden floors; i found myself tip toeing round so as not to disturb (pity the nieghbour didn't have the same consideration when the TV was on until
gone midnight)
I sed the gym at the hotel which was fine (little air conditioning though) and I took breakfast which was also good. All in all I would recommend the hotel and I'll certainly go back (maybe just not to room 229!)
The hotel is situated within minutes of some fantastic bars, restaurants and shooping which is very handy.

The location is very good, just few steps both from the center and the Danube. I like the design of the lobby and the restaurant..it is modern and trendy, well combined with the clasic architecture of the building. Rooms are big, clean, with comfortable bed and nice bathroom. The staff was friendly and helpfull. We've enjoued every moment of our stay!

It is a modern, perfect hotel. Excellent, minimalistic design. Vaci utca (main turistic street) is 5 minutes from hotel. Budapest castle is in front of the hotel, on opposite side of Danube river. Parlament is 10 minutes from hotel. All turistic attraction are just 15 minutes by walk from hotel.

This hotel is a perfect 4 stars. Could not be more acurate 4 stars for it's category. It is amaisingly located right off the walking streets of Budapest, the hotel loby is big with an atrium and a very good feeling when you enter the place.
The hotel has a great tapas restaurant with amaising cheese and ham.. I strongly recomand it.. better move down from the room and go there then order the room service.
The bar itself is not top notch. tryed to be modern with modern furniture but actually this is the one place of the hotel that looks cheep.
The bed rooms are very nice. nothing to say about this at all. wifi in all the hotel..
I personally did not feel very confortable in the room. Probably because of this modern style.. i don't know. i can't really pin point the reason. But it is personal and nothing to do with the hotel quality.

Room Tip: I had a room looking on the inside of the atrium, so if you leave open window people can see you. it...
