“Beautiful hotel Beautiful city!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 29, 2011

We completely loved the hotel, it has a perfect location, down a nice quiet street but not far to walk to the hustle and bustle of the city centre and all the things and places to see and do. The staff greeted us warmly and we were able to go straight to our room, which was totally gorgeous, very modern and clean. the bed was lovely and we especially loved the bathroom. we had a lovely terrace balcony.
best of all in the hotel was the spa in the basement, it has a lovely jacuzzi, sauna and turkish spa. Plus massages were available and i really enjoyed mine.
Breakfast was delicious and the hotel staff always arranged our taxis. We loved our stay.

Arrived today, booked a privilege room which was advertised on Accor's website as "higher level of accomodation with extra features etc". To be honest, the only reason to choose it was that (as on website) it had a balcony and it was larger than standard room.
First of all, the balcony's door is almost broken. Ok, the staff member said they'll change the room tomorrow. But the room itself turned out to be exactly the same as standard (which they''ve also shown us). There is actually one larger room, but it's just one on the floor. All other privilege rooms are of the same size as standard. The only difference you get is the bathrobes and slippers (which were delivered only on request). Towels are old, double bed is actually two beds put together (which is not DOUBLE bed, to my opinion), free wi-fi is sloooooow.
I can't say that I'm extremely disappointed, but if I knew all of this before making a reservation, I'd prefer standard room. It's cheaper and makes no difference. By the way, I paid the same price for privilege room as could've paid for standard room at Marriott. The reason was "ok, Marriott is five star, but there I get on of a hundred similar rooms, while here I get best room in the hotel". Not true,

Dear Thefall,

We appreciate your valuable comment.

We are sorry that the Privilege room have not met your expectations. You have to know, we have more type (eg. with or without balcony, for 2 or 3 person, different bathrooms) & size of Privilege rooms. „Privilege” chategory guarantees the extra services including coffee & tea making facilities in the room, and the extra -10% discount from the listed services of the hotel.

Really good service. Our AC didn't work so they gave us à deluxe room instead. Breakfast was poor . Otherwise very nice.

Nice hotel - good value for money - very nice and helpful reception staff.
Not sure about housekeeping staff - things were missing - but will never know for sure.
Anyway overall it was a pleasant stay.

Good rooms but the wi-fi service although it was free it was very poor quality in the room we stayed. We had to go down to the lobby to have full reception.

Breakfast buffet was very poor.

The restaurant sound track was Abba on repeat.. arrrrrrgggg For 5 days they did not change the cds. horrible in the mornings

Good night's stay for a reasonable price. Opening hours of spa a little restricted but other than that all good.

4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2010

Quiet location within easy walking distance of two metro stations. We found the quality of workmanship on the building to be poor, which meant that the shower flooded the floor even with the door closed, and the floor did not slope towards the drain. The room upstairs had had problems too, as there were stains on the bathroom ceiling. And the lovely atrium could not be used as the roof was leaking. Staff were most helpful and offered immediate service one day when the cleaner had forgotten to tidy our room.
We did not eat breakfast in the hotel or use the bar.
There's a pleasant area with armchairs where you can sit and read the newspapers provided, if you can cope at the same time with canned music.
