“one of the most elegant and well-placed baths of Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

As I live here sometimes I do visit this pool, though not as usual as I should to - but it is a very good located place as much as it could be perfectly used too! I recommend it! After a walk in the neighbourhood - it's really perfect!

“A must see in Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

One of my favourite places in Budapest. I especially recommend it during wintertime and in the evenings, because the outside pools have nice warm thermal water where it is good to sit around and watch the others, relax or have a chat with your friends for example. It has a very special atmosphere. Others will probably write about cleanliness, services, prices, etc, but I feel you have to experience it regardless of others' opinions. :)

“Largest hot "bath" I have ever experienced”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Really nice place to go and spend an afternoon. Hot baths inside and outside. Bars to have a relaxing beer. A lap pool for the energetic and stone chess boards in pool if so inclined. A good mix of locals and tourists of all ages when we were there in late May.

“Best value in Budapest for Baths”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013

Less expensive than the famous Gellert Baths, the Szechenyi is located in the beautiful city park. next to Heroes Square. The building is spectacular and worth taking many photos. There are many options and even chess while bathing. it is extremely clean and and well maintained. This is definitely part of Hungarian culture you won't want to miss. When we stay in Budapest for extended times, my husband goes at least once a week even during the winter. It costs about $20,00 for a whole day. The Gellert is maybe more opulent, but not nearly as much fun or variety of bathing experiences.
