The museum is located in the Varosliget city park, next to the Vahjdhunyad castle. I guess not many people visit it because you have to push a large wooden door.
The museum is located in a beautifull building both on the outside and inside. The staff is polite and quite friendly. For a small admission fee (guess it was around 1400 HUF) you can dwell around. The museum style itself is quite oldfashioned, bit boring in some places , but some bits I quite enjoyed reading, like how the Magyar people migrated from Asia to Hungaria.
But even if you don't enjoy museums ,the inside of the buiding is worth it, as several rooms have nicely decorated ceilings , walss and huge staircaises.
The museum is quiet, we didn't find many tourists there, some locals and some school classes, so you do everything at a slow pace.
