“Good value place but not stunning”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 19, 2012

Room quite large. Bed fine although duvet was a single one and made sleeping tricky. New bathroom so everything worked well. Close enough to all the sights. Nothing bad for the hotel but nothing uplifting to the heart.

Our room was on the 6th floor and was what we've come to expect from an Ibis hotel - clean, well maintained and, thank goodness, with a shower but not much of a view. All the staff we met were very nice. Reception were helpful especially after my husband lost his reading glasses. I have to be honest and say that the breakfast buffet could have been better although you could always find something to fill up with. My problem is that I'm on a dairy free diet and the menu included a lot of cheese. I would also have liked cranberry juice on offer as, again, I can't take orange or apple juice. We found it rather too far to walk to the places we had on our list but we ARE both in our 70s. We made use of the Hop on Hop off busses on a few occasions and they got us where we wished to go. All in all a wonderful week in a beautiful city.

I had a room at the 10th floor of this hotel, with a beautiful view towards the Danube river. The room was spacious, large beds, very clean. Everything looked well maintained. The hotel has it s own parcking area. The location was good enough, you could walk to the banks of the Danube, and from there on to the Carol bridge, passing next to the Parliament building (a beautiful building). I said good enough because it takes some time to do that, you have to be in a good shape!

Rooms are quite basic, but enough to rest after exploring the city. The location is really good, the subway is right next to the hotel, as well as tram. Very friendly receptionists. Right after our arrival, we were given a full set of maps and leaflets informing us on the attractions. They explained how to reach them. Better than many tourist information centers! They speak very good English. Breakfast was ok, but I suppose it's worth paying if you book with a discount accor member price. Otherwise, it's quite expensive, specially taking into account that the hotel is surround by cafes.
It's a nice area to chill out in the evening. Lots of bars - both to eat and to drink.
Taking into account good price of the room, I can recommend this place.

This ibis hotel is good situated for those who like to use public transport and like walking. Just few steps from metro station blaha luiza ter, even if you have suitcase you do not have to walk a lot. Cheap eating places like mcdonalds and burger king are just at the corner. The stuff is very hospitable and helpful. Recomend this hotel for sure!

This is a basic budget hotel in a great location. Most of Pest and some of Buda is all within walking distance.

The hotel was functional with average sized rooms. The major gripe for me was the beds were way too firm.

The maid service attended every day even though we were usually quite late out. And the front desk staff were friendly.
