“Great to visit day or night”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Appears to be very popular with coach tips. At night the monuments are all lit up and there are many restaurants to visit by the lake.
By day you can also visit the zoo, the spa baths and many museums that are adjacent to the square.

“Wasn't amazing”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

The metro line we got onto to get there was a bit shoddy, and it wasn't the best place to visit, just a standard huge square with some statues

Impressive statues and column. Cross the road and stroll round the lovely park with a stop for drinkies at one of the cosy cafes. Metro right to the door.

“A NICE SQUARE WITH ALL HEROES OF HUNGARY”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

Thanks to God we had our guite , a very sweet Hungarian girl , who told us all the history of Hungary, standing in the middle of this large square, where is the Millenium Memmorial.
We saw the statues of the leaders of the seven tribes of Hungary, some other heroes and of course the statue of St. Stephen, the 1st King og Hungary.
The Heroes Square is at the end of Andrassy Avenue where you can find also the Budapest's Opera House.
Left of Heroes Sq. is the Fine Arts Museum and right, is the Palace of Arts and the Turkish Baths oh Hungary.Very near is the Zoo, the city-park and an artifficial lake.
It's a good to go there if you have enought time, you can take the M1 line of the metro and it takes you direct.
