very splendid and bigger than expected and a great opportunity for photos, if a little dodgy with traffic!

“Beautiful!...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2013

Nice area to spend the day.

The walk to Heroes Square from the Ibis Heroes Square took maybe 3minutes. The square is beautiful...It is an easy trek on your tourist-filled day. Take lots of pictures and enjoy the view and the time spent at this lovely location. The statues surrounding the square are lovely and tells a story. Its a must see!
The zoo, another attractioin is not too far. The fine art museum is also adjacent (if you like da Vinci and a world class museum). The place is absolutely in a great location and close to many tourist attractions. - REALLY worthwhile and in my opinion, you have not visited Budapest until you have seen this square. There is no cost for this attraction.

“Pretty Square”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 24, 2013

Easiest way to get there is to take the subway. There's a stop right at Heroe's Square. Also, near the square-Szecheniy baths, Circus, and zoo.

“Interesting square that reflects the history of the city”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 23, 2013

The statues are very interesting when you read up on the history behind them. The park behind the square is well worth wandering around, there is an open air ice rink in the winter and the famous baths at the back. Despite the area being interesting for turists, it is full of locals taking their dogs for walks at the week end and has a pleasant atmosphere.
