“Can survive without visiting it”

Just a large concrete square with some nice statues of I guess some hungarian famous kings riding horses. You can survive if you dont visit it, but anyway you have to pass it if you go to the Szechenyi Bath, the large city park, or to the Wadi amusement park.

“Good place to meet friends”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 26, 2012

The square is impressive, but not something you want to spend a lot of time looking at. However, there are many good cafes, and a beautiful area in which you can sit at the museum. I went alone...so not so good, but I was tired and it was a nice place to relax. That said, it would be a wonderful place to just sit and visit with friends while enjoying the art :)

“Beautiful in the autumn sunlight”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

This open space with the statues and monuments looked wonderful under a clear blue sky. It's located right at the end of Andrassy Avenue so we took the metro down there and, after enjoying the square itself wandered down Andrassy Ave for lunch near Oktogon. There's also an excellent art gallery at heroes Sq and (in winter) an open air skating rink. It's very close to the Szechenyi baths.
