“It's a must”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

I visit Budapest every week and I always pass by the Heroes Square, but I have to say that it always amazes me. If you visit Budapest, you have to see it.

“Good photo spot”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2012

Another landmark and photo spot of Budapest city. We got off the hop on hop off bus at this stop and spend 20 min at this square which is more than enough time for some photos.

“Great entrance to City Park”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

Fantastic reward after a walk up Andrassy Utca. The square also sits at the entrance to City Park. Great for photos.

“Another must see in Budapest!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 1, 2012

To really get a feel for the sweep of the history of Hungary, you must go see Heroes Square. There are statues of each important founder, Saint and King, starting from the founding in the 10th century up to the revolution in the 19th century. The large plaza is flanked by a modern art museum and a national art museum, is close to a world famous bath, and across from a nice park with cute little cafe/restaurants. Plan to spend several hours exploring everything in this area!
