“Beautiful and powerful”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 21, 2015 NEW

Very beautiful construction beside DAnubio river, it was very rich inside and well decorated. Meeting rooms are great. At night, don't loose a tour by boat where you can see the parliament with special ilumination.

“One of Budapest's jewel buildings”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2015 NEW

Built in 1904 by architect Imre Steindl, it's one of the oldest lesgislative buildings and the 3rd largest in Europe. In Budapest it's the highest and largest building with 691 rooms. Next to the Danube River and to Lajos Kossuth Square. In Gothic Revival style, it has 2 parliament halls, one for the politics and one for the guided tours. Since 2000 it houses the original Hungarian regalia, a copy of which you may see at the ecclesiastical museum of Matthias Church. The visited area inside the Parliament is limited and no photos are allowed in certain halls. There is a security check at the entrance, similar to the airport one and you must have a document to cofirm your name and your nationality. There are no restrooms and lockers. To get inside you must have a timed ticket with the language you have chosen to find the right group. Tickets can be bought on-line (recommended) because at the spot, the queuing is always very long in front of the visitor centre at the north side of the building. You must check also when the Parliament is open to the public. Prices are: For European citizens € 15.- for adults, for non-European citizens € 30.- But even from the outside, the building is so impressive. When illuminated during the night, it's part of the special panorama of Budapest, if not the central piece of it.

“Amazing and worth the visit”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 19, 2015 NEW

One of the better sites we visited in Budapest. The history, the size, and the grandeur of the Parliament gives one a real sense of the history of the area and town.
