“A stunning church.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 10, 2013

The most beautiful church on the Buda part of the city, this beauty dominates the entire area just next to the Buda castle.
The church features a stunning design on the outside and lovely interiors as well.
Make sure to check out the Hilton next to it. It's as lovely.

“Inside being restored; Outside is complete”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 9, 2013

We viewed on the outside only, since the inside is having heavy restoration (and a 4 Euro entrance fee). The outside is magnificent. So I can't wait to return and see the inside!

“Do not go in Spring 2013”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed March 6, 2013

Heavy (!) renovation going on inside. It is going to be fantastic, once it is done, but momentarily you will be wasting the entrance fee of 1000 huf. Of the top sights, only the Madonna is viewable, but only from a distance. In short, see the Fisherman's Bastion and look at th church from outside, but do not waste neither money nor time by entering.
The 5 of 5 is for not dragging the church down the ranking, as this is only a current matter.

“Warning: heavy works in 2013”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

I have been pretty disappointed at the fact that the church is undergoing very heavy refection work. I could only visit about one third of the nave and the upper gallery. What you can see of the place is absolutely gorgeous, every single inch of stone or plaster being tastefully painted. However, the heavy price fee should be brought down or information concerning the works given at the desk before paying. The whole area around the church is anyway a must-see, chances you'll end up looking down on the Danube from up there.

“Fantastic”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 24, 2013

Despite the renovations going on in the church, this is an amazing place to visit. We arrived in the evening and it was snowing and the church was lit up so it looked truly magical. The museum they have set up looks down and over the restoration work and was really interesting. Well worth a visit.
