“for active turists...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 20, 2013

Perfect location for active turists, who like to explore - not for the one who like to enjoy in the hotel. You can reach most of the thing by walk. Just be sure that Vaci utca is not under constraction so loud mashine starting to work in the morning :)

Dear VesnaJovanovic,
We are happy that you enjoyed the central location of our hotel and you could benefit from it. Cafés, restaurant and many entertainment possibilities and of course the main attractions are in an easy reach on foot from the hotel. We are looking forward to welcome you back to Budapest – to the city of senses.
With best regards,

perfect location to explore budapest. friendly and polite staff. bed is a bit too hard and furniture are a bit old but functional. room service are of fair price but you can always find good restaurants around. room is always clean but space is a bit limited. good selection of breakfast for a fair price. will go back to this hotel without a doubt.

Right in the city centre, 2 mins from the river and all the attractions....it could not be better located.
But the hotel needs to improve some areas...as this was not of the usual Mecure/Accor hotel standards.
Check in was simple and quick
Staff were polite and friendly
Public areas were fine downstairs, but in the room halls...need a refurb.
The beds are very, very firm.
No tea/coffee in room
In room decoration needs refurb.
Room cramped with too much furniture (must be done to up the star rating).
Toilet are of a strange design which leads to unpleasant smells in the room.
Waste pipes are not insulated, so everytime the guy upstairs flushed or took a shower..I could hear the waste rattling down as I was in bed.
bathroom taps old and in need of refurb.
Towls were small, think, worn out and should be in a bin!
Breakfast....far too expensive (I used the pleasant cafe next door for a fraction of the cost).

Would I stay here again? I am afraid not. Which is a pity as it is in the perfect spot.

Dear skybluerob,
Thank you for your comment on TripAdvisor. Yes, the great location is one of the biggest advantage of our hotel. We are in the pedestrian area of the downtown, so the most interesting sights of this beautiful city are within walking distance. Thank you for your remark regarding the room design, we will definitely include your comments into our next renovation plan. We sincerely hope we can welcome you back soon in the city and in our hotel.

As everyone says, a fantastic location: a lively area and easy walking to the river Danube and all the main sights. Can't fault the service and friendliness of the staff right from arrival to departure, which helped to make our stay here for a family wedding so enjoyable. Our room was always clean, comfy and spacious and we enjoyed the good breakfast. It is well worth getting a privilege room because we so enjoyed the use of the privilege lounge, which provided snacks and drinks just when we returned from our excursions. Can't wait to go back.

Room Tip: Choose a privilege room - it's well worth it

close to many scenic locations, however no views are available from hotel. Well price and good service. Unlike other comments, hotel staff are very helpful and polite. I ranked hotel as 'average' simply for the lack of a swimming pool and gym.

We were so pleased that we booked this hotel for our stay in Budapest. Excellent location and within walking distance of all of the major sites. We paid extra and booked a privilege room which we felt was well worth it as it gave access to the privilege room were drinks and snacks were available. It also enabled us to keep our room until 4pm on departure day without any extra cost. Breakfast was excellent. Staff very friendly and helpful. Would recommend using the airport minibus for transfer to and from the hotel.
