“Best location in Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 25, 2012

More than being at one of the best locations in Budapest, it is certainly located at the best spot of Budapest. It is just next to Chain Bridge with a wonderful view of Buda Castle. The rooms are clean and perfect. I will not stay at somewhere else on my further Budapest visits.

I spent two nights in Budapest (for work) while passing through Europe and all I can say is that I am glad that I stayed at the Intercontinental!! First class all the way around!! I definitely recommend paying a little extra to get a room facing the Danube as the views at night are incredible!! When facing the Danube, you also get a front row seat to the views of the chain bridge and castle district!! The room i stayed in was perfect! The hotel staff were very friendly and all too quick to help me arrange things while I was there. I am definitely returning to Budapest for holiday later this year and will make it a point to stay longer while residing at the Intercontinental!! The Intercontinental is friendly, affordable and conveniently located!!

We have just spent the weekend in the beautiful city of Budapest and the hotel was the icing on the cake! The Hotel is set with an uninterrupted view of the Danube, Chain Bridge and the Castle District. We were lucky enough to have gorgeous weather and the sunshine on the view during breakfast was amazing. We had no complaints at all about the comfortable rooms and facilities and all the food and drinks we had too were excellent, We will look for this chain of hotels when we go away again. We spent our last day in the Thermal Baths in the park which were fantastic.

Room Tip: All the rooms were good although higher up were quieter, Also if you can afford extra for river view...

Just stayed 3 nights at Intercontinental, budapest. We chose the hotel because of the location and so glad we did. The location is superb, and we paid a little bit more for a room with a view of the danube. The room was very good, big comfortable bed, with an enormous picture window with view of the river, the palace and chain bridge, magical ! The breakfast was superb, too many choices to mention. Overall, a lovely hotel, brilliant location with fabulous breakfasts. Didn't eat there at night as there are so many choices in budapest. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: We felt it was worth the extra to have the superb view

One of the best views from a hotel window I've ever had. Really.

Beautiful hotel, great amenities, close to everything, clean and modern. Really the epitome of a great hotel stay.

Can't recommend it enough!

I am sure one may be able to find a better hotel in Budapest, but I am not sure there is any reason to. I spent 4 nights there attending a conference, and this hotel plain and simple works! The room was nice, clean and comfortable (upgrade to river view is well worth it), and everything works. Maid service was quick, and I never felt that I had to wait for my room.
The breakfast buffet was wonderful and offered anything and everything one might want, and also here; the staff was great. - Even the conference food, which is always questionable in my opinion, was way above average.
Throughout my stay I was surrounded by friendly, helpful, and knowledgable staff. I would have loved to extend my stay and simply be a guest at the hotel while enjoying this wonderful city, and I will be back and will absolutely stay the again. I recommend it highly!
