This would not be my choice for the next time, though here are the advantages

1) really close to the city center
2) clean rooms, clean bathroom

negative
1) VERY NOISY - it seems like there are no walls at all!!
2) no wi fi in rooms
3) breakfast for
vegetarians included into a room price is NOT a breakfast )))

Room Tip: the further it is the better - room # 105 (was in the end of the hall) - that would be your choice i...

Great location, easy walk to most everywhere. The Main staff were excellent and always helpful. Breakfast was very good and plenty of it. There are good restaurants close by and good places for a drink or two. We only needed the Subway to get to the Spa, the rest of the time we enjoyed a walk and the sites.

The hotel is 2 star hotel in my opinion.
Clean but old.
Excellent location, good breakfast.
The price we paid it was fine.
The heart of the Jewish Quarter walking distance of many restaurants and bars, as well as 10 min walk from the Opera.

I've seen a number of negative reviews on here for this hotel and, in all honesty, I question what these people expect from a hotel so cheap. It is much more expensive if you just turn up on the day, but I stayed a week at a cost less than my flight to Budapest!

The rooms are basic, but they have a mini fridge and a safe which is pretty much all I ask for on a city break - I'm there to spend as little time in the hotel as possible; not enjoy the wonders of European television. The rooms are clean but, admittedly, they could potentially do with a lick of paint just to freshen them up a bit. It was what I expected for the price. The bathroom was a standard hotel bathroom - nothing to write home about, but the towels were clean, the water was hot and the toilet flushed.

The location is fab! There are plenty of places to eat in the vicinity (although, I'm a vegetarian and it's actually quite hard to find vegetarian dishes in Hungary), plenty of clubs and a number of shops. If you're there to go out, alcohol prices are ridiculously cheap both in the shops and in bars - I loved it. It's about a five minute walk from the underground station, so it's easy to get to the different areas of the city.

The staff of the hotel are very friendly! One night, it was raining too heavily to go out and the lady on reception assisted us in ordering a pizza to the hotel. They are always happy to help and answer any queries you may have.

Overall, for the price I paid, it exceeded my expectations. Budapest in itself is my favourite place in Europe - highly recommended to all!

I will start by saying that you get what you pay for - this was a very cheap hotel (I paid 45Euros per night, including breakfast).

The reason I rate poor for this hotel is:
1. The rooms are very dated, old and not very good quality furniture in the room, walls stained and dirty, poor lighting in the courtyard area to get to my room
2. Bathroom was ok, again quite old but not very well cleaned
3. My room was at the back of the courtyard on the first floor (room 109). Because of the layout of the courtyard and stairs, sounds seem to be amplified and I was woken up several times by people talking on their way to their rooms
4. Breakfast items that are supposed to be hot were either tepid or cold, because the heating plates were not sufficient to heat them

Overall I found this place uncomfortable to stay in and given that Budapest has so many cheap hotels, I definitely feel you can get better.
A better description of this hotel is 1-2 star.

On the positive side, the staff were all very friendly and helpful.

We found this hotel at a good deal and stayed there for 7 nights. The location is very good, less than 10 mins walk to the 'touristic' city. There are numerous restaurants, bars and clubs around the hotel and this is extremely good and convenient! The hotel as such, it is clean but it does not correspond to what it looked like in pictures. The bathroom is very old with cracks here and there. Overall, the room was OK with comfortable beds and closets. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they provided us with information for restaurants, bars and city attractions, maps number of times! I would say that what's missing from this hotel is wifi in the rooms (wifi is only available in the lobby, only wired network is available in the rooms) and a good renovation especially to the hotel corridors and bathrooms!

We booked a 4 nights stay here and were very pleased with our choice.
The hotel is in a good location a short walk away from the main square and the street its on is very quiet which was good for us.
We booked this with another couple to celebrate our birthdays and we requested that we had rooms next to each other. On arrival we were both given a bottle of champagne which we thought was a really nice touch.
The hotel staff are friendly and very helpful and whilst the rooms are slightly on the small side they have everything you need and are cleaned to a high standard each day.
There was a good choice for breakfast, although the later you go the less there is.
Would also recommend having a room away from the elevators as they are noisy with people coming in and out.
Overall very good value for money

Room Tip: Room away from elevators
