“Wonderful staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013 via mobile

Stayed here for five days over New year. My mistake was not asking for a bath! For a severe joint problem I need a bath but the hotel was fully booked. However, the hotel staff were wondwrful and after just one night in a beautiful room but with no bath they managed to arrange a transfer to yet another beautiful room with a bath, with staff on hand to move our luggage it was all done in twenty minutes. Despite the huge re vamp going on the breakfast served on first floor was still its usual high standard. All the staff were friendly and went that extra mile! Special thanks to the blonde waitress Ester. The spa was a delight with excellant massages. This was my 3rd visit to this hotel, it is so close to the christmas markets ( which turn into food and drink stalls fior new year) and there is an amazing atmosphere on new years eve. I look forward to returning to see the new reception and restaurant improvements. Thanks again to all the staff who made our stay so good. From mrs G Blake

We have stayed in the kempinsky during the Sylvester weekend ,the room was very nice, large room with all 5 stars amenities in the room, the bathroom was very large with bath and shower ,
The room was cleaned twice a day also in the evening.
The spa is very nice and quiet ,nice pool with street view and sauna .
The breakfast was great . Had very good cafe late and a lot of choices to eat ,great scrambled eggs, great pick salamy, lot of bread choices , a lot of fruit and great ananas.
The hotel staff and concierge was helpful and friendly .
The hotel is centrally located , very close to shopping district and to vaci utca, close to public transport and walking distance to all center located attractions .
A lot of good restaurants and pubs are nearby and 5 minutes walk to the Danube.

The Hotel staff are very helpful and friendly, very professional hospitality managment. The view from the room wasn't really good and hotel happened to have some renovation works during our stay, but all other positive impressions are covering those little minuses.
Hotel organized for us lovely individual city tour. The food is very good. The special hotel breackfast, if order to the room, so rich, will be more than enough for two.The Spa is small but cosy, with good treatments - better to book them in advance, massages there are very much in demand.

Its a nice hotel in the center of budapest. There was no view from the room and the spa cant afford enough people at the same time. The breakfast area was small for all the guests so we had to wait some minutes to sit. Too expensive for what the hotel offers

One of the best Kempinski hotels I've stayed in. All the major sights are close to hand or the hop on hop off bus tour stop is across the road to see the other sights. Reception, breakfast staff and bar staff friendly and very helpful.
We used the indoor swimming pool, while small it was nice to cool off during the hot summer. My wife was impressed with the SPA and facial she received.
The surrounding area was very safe and we experienced no problems returning in the early hours. Large number of places to eat and drink in the surrounding area so your not restricted to the hotel. I was impressed by how clean the centre of the City is kept. For a City Break we both thought Budapest was enchanting and the Kempinski Hotel excellent. Perhaps not the cheapest of hotels in Budapest but the luxury and quality of the hotel justified the cost as did the location.
