“Pleasant but not spectacular”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 30, 2013

Margaret Island is a pretty parkland setting. There is nothing spectacular about it but it provides a pleasant few hours of strolling and just enjoying nature. There is access to it by boat or by just walking over the bridge.

“Nice small island in the middle of the Danube”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 29, 2013

If you are a runner, you'll find this small island in the middle of Danube especially attaractive. Besides, it is also a very nice and green place.

“It is but do not expect too much!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013 via mobile

It is good to go there and spend some time. I would say that 2-3 hours are good... you can rent some electrical vehicles which are for 4 people and I think the price was 4500 HUF or you can have some bicycle vehicles again for 4 people.

You will be able to find some plases to eat and drink but there are only few.

In reality what this "island" offers is some nature and a good place to walk.

“Green space and quiet”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed April 25, 2013

I find that Budapest is very noisy so we walked from the inter continental hotel, to Margaret island in April. Day was over 20 degrees so was very warm and sunny. Walked for about 30 min to get there, walked to the very end and you will be in Japanese gardens which were nice to see. Trees were interesting and Lillie's in pond very nice to view. You can walk or run around the entire island. If you like to walk, it is a nice place to get away from crowds.
