Duck breast is excellent here. Duck pate is very good too. Great panorama of Gellert hill and interesting interior design

“Amazing food at an amazing price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012 via mobile

My husband and I ate at Gepard's for dinner on our first night in Budapest. We sat outside and the staff were kind enough to give me a blanket for my legs. Needless to say the service was amazing.

I started with two huge pieces of duck liver with a tasty pear compote and then had the wild meat stew with these yummy potato pancakes. My husband had the goulash soup to start and then the crispy pork. Everything was delicious. The desserts were beautifully presented. The highlight was the bottle of sparkling water that they brought out. It was in an old fashioned spritzer bottle similar to the ones that you see in classical movies. Overall, dinner was a great experience.

“Poor to average fish and chips with a great view of Castle Hill.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

We had fish and chips with a beer for 3200 huf. The fish was average but in breadcrumbs, not in batter. The chips were those thin chips which are not real chips. But all was not lost as the beer was ok and the view was great across to Castle Hill.

Recommended by the receptionist at Bohem Art Hotel, this is a lovely little restaurant. Relaxed style and great food - really tasty duck.

“Exquisite food!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 25, 2012

This was the best restaurant we visited in our month-long vacation. Our hotel - Bohem Art - recommended Gepard es Urhajo for a taste of authentic Hungarian cuisine and we were extremely satisfied with the quality of the food, which was very well prepared and presented, but not expensive. We sat outside on the terrace, enjoyed our meal with wine, and watched the nearby filming of a car chase scene for Bruce Willis' latest Die Hard movie. This restaurant is quiet, well run and definitely worth a visit.
