“Worth a trip”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 11, 2014

The celebrity graveyard of Hungary.
Some amazingly indulgent mausoleums. A quite thought provoking walk around, as you see all the famous names that the roads of Budapest are owed.
Worth an hour if you have one spare.

“100+ years old, fantastic statues, hair-raisingly cool! GO!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 6, 2014

I thoroughly enjoyed slinking about this very old and enormous cemetery for an hour one evening, which I HIGHLY recommend. Don't forget your camera. Beware they close at 8 pm. It's free. Give it at least a full hour because once you're inside you'll want to keep exploring all of the cool corners and it's pretty big. There are some simply amazing grave statues here, detailed and 100+ years old, and some parts are very overgrown in an absurdly cool way. When I went I only ran across two other people in the entire place.

“Favorite cemetery in Europe”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 1, 2014

So visiting cemeteries isn't everyone's attraction of choice on holiday, but if you like cemeteries, sculpture and nature this is an absolute MUST. It is huge, and that is an understatement. It is like walking though a park with thick bushes and huge draping trees. It is easy and fun to get lost. It is seriously well landscaped while the variety and craftsmanship of the headstones, statues and architecture is incredible. Highly recommend!

“If you have time!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 18, 2014

I would not advise you to put it in the "things to be done" if you came for less than 4 days, but still with the right amount of time left the visit of this monumental cemetery can be very interesting!

“Just a cementary”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 7, 2014

If you're not a grave fan, do not go there. It is really far away from everything else, you have to walk a lot and there are just old graves and some dry bushes. We were walking about 1 hour - that was enough for us. It was a waste of time.
