“A small hall with special atmosphere. There is always dim, but a lot of color and luster”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 2, 2012

The Parisi Udvar is a covered courtyard and has a special atmosphere. There is always dim, but a lot of color and luster. A small hall with shops, the inner part of an eclectic building. This is of the 20th century and has retained its original character, there are just offices and apartments. The station “Ferenciek tere” of Metro Line 3 is located in the near. You should go also into the Főzelékfaló restaurant and taste the főzelék, this Hungarian vegetable dish. This is just a few steps from the Parisi udvar.

“Scandal”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 20, 2012

It looks like after the World War II. No shops, nothing, empty, its a shame of Budapest!
I was in Milan a few weeks ago, there is the Vittorio Emanuele Passage closed to Duomo, and that is wonderful.
The Parisi Udvar must be renovated immidiately, before it collapse.

“Beautiful Art Nouveau Architecture”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

I remember when this beautiful colonnade was filled with stores and bustling with activity. Now it is an empty shell having been bought by foreign investors, it's future uncertain. I do hope that demolition is not part of the plan as it is an incredible example of Jugenstil architecture of the the early 20th century. One can still gain entry through one side (there are two entrances, one is locked up) and admire the splendid details. There are enough architectural treasures here to fill a museum but here you can see it in it's original, though tired, splendor for free. Folks, this is real eye-candy for those who love interesting architecture. Don't miss it.
