After good wine, the experience leaves a bad taste.
When we got back to our hotel, we noticed a mistake on our DiVino receipt: the refundable deposit on the wine glasses had not been removed. We went back a couple of days later when we were again in that part of Budapest and showed the same waitress the overcharge on the receipt. "That was two days ago," she said. We asked for our refundable deposit to be refunded, or perhaps another glass of wine of equal value. Without explanation of the "refundable" policy, but with irritation at our lack of understanding it, she refused to entertain a remedy. An appeal to her manager yielded the same surly response."You should not have paid the deposit," he said. "Too late."
Watch yourselves at DiVino's. They make mistakes on the check and don't make good on them. They make you feel like a problem and not a guest.
