“Lovely spot overlooking the Danube”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2013

Located on the Buda side of the riverbank, enjoyed drinks at the outdoor tables overlooking the river and the Pest side of the river.

“Fancy a glass of Hungarian wine? Why yes I do!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 3, 2013

So, Who would have known Hungarian wine was so delicious!? I sure didn't. I am glad I stumbled upon this place at the end of the bridge. I have been to many of the most well known wine regions in the world and I have never heard of Hungarian wine even being of something to mention or speak of. I will make sure to pass the word along. This restaurant was delightful and the service was top notch. Very nice views from the windows on the side of the Danube.

“Great surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed March 13, 2013 via mobile

We were only looking for a light lunch but glad we decided on the "tastes" menu. We had a plate to share with salamis, onion jam, peppers, tomato and toast. With this plate we had two different white wine tastes which were quite generous amounts. The main was a stuffed chicken breast with herbs and creamy sauce and vegetables. We had two different Rose's served with this meal. Then we had apple pie (with a difference) but very nice and this was srved with a sweet dessert wine. We wnded up buying a bottle of one of the wines as we enjoyed our experience so much. The waiter was excellent. He explained every wine and was very pleasant indeed. We also thought that the prices were reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

“Hungarian wines.... a pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2012

I did not know too much about Hungarian wines, with the exception of Tokaj. Well, if you really want to get surprised in a pleasant way about Hungarian wines, I recommend everyone to visit this winebar. Ask for a table with a view on the chain-bridge and you can satisfy almost all your senses.
The food is of good quality, although the portions are not so big...but after all we are here for the WINE :-))

“A fly on the soup”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed August 18, 2012

You should definitely avoid this wine bar. This was my worst experience in Budapest.
We went there today and decided to order the tourist menu since the wine bar also serves meals. There were only two menu options and the a la carte service. The waiter cleary told us that the menu number two was sold out and that the desert of menu number 1 had to be replaced. We agreed whith menu 1 whith the new desert.
THERE WAS A FLY inside the goulash soup!!!
We told that and the waiter took it back and gave us another.
In the end the meal was significant more expensive than the menu price presented because the new desert that the waiter replaced just cancels the menu price and applies the a la carte prices! We disagreed and the answer was: I'm just the waiter...
