“Three great nights in Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 9, 2012

My husband and I would stay here again in a second!! We arranged for a driver through the hotel to pick us up at the airport, our flight was late but he was still there waiting for us when we arrived. Do not bother with a taxi or bus just email and they will set it up for you - so easy.
Our room was on the small side but everything had its place - neat and spotless - cozy and romantic. We were on the 7th floor and our room was so quiet, we slept great. Breakfast was delicious and they had something for every taste - eggs, yogurts, cereals, breads, meats, fruit, vegies. There was Prosecco and fresh squeezed orange juice and a very cool coffee machine where you could choose between 8 or so different coffees by simply pressing a button. Bohem is in a very convenient location - close to the Danube, great restaurants, shopping sight seeing.. We felt very safe walking around at night and sometimes it was very late.
For some reason they do not have an ice machine or access to any ice after breakfast is over - I am told its an American thing to want ice but that is what my husband missed in his evening cocktail before we went to dinner.
The staff is friendly and efficient. Nora was especially sweet and helpful with restaurant and taxi info. If we are ever back in lovely Budapest we will stay here, Thank you Bohem Art Hotel for a perfect start to our Vacation

Room Tip: Check out the pictures on thier website, they all have different paintings.

Enjoyed a 3 night stay here between Xmas and New Year. We had Room 302 which was at the front of the property and was of a generous size. No problems at all with the room size as outlined by some others. The room was quiet and the hotel located perfectly for getting around. Walking distance to Gerallt Baths and 4 min walk to tram stop for number 2 tram which takes you right along the bank of the river with great views over to Buda. The only negative for me was the the breakfast room was very busy and the tables were very close to each other making it slighlty uncomfortable. But I appreciate this was a very busy time of year and the quality of the breakfast was perfect.

We stayed in this hotel in August of 2011, and it was excellent!! The hotel itself is very groovy, in it's style and decoration, the rooms are clean and ours was quite spacious (we had a superior room), and the staff were incredible... friendly and helpful with every request we had. The breakfasts are delicious, and the afternoon tea/coffee is a nice touch. Also, the hotel is centrally located in a quiet street with 1 block to the Danube and 1 block to Vaci Utca, so the location is perfect.

An excellent time was had. Big thanks to all the staff for making our stay so good. I always recommend this hotel to anyone intending a stay in Budapest.

Think the review title says it all. Yes, the hotel is cool and has some great art. No, the rooms aren't that huge and they don't have kettles. Yes, the afternoon 'happy hour' and champagne breakfast are a nice touch. But the two reasons for staying here are its amazing location - really on the doorstep of everything - and the fact it's probably the quietest hotel I've ever slept in. Blissful.

Stayed last minute for 2 nights for new years eve, hotel was very good, clean, modern and staff very helpful. Rooms were compact but very well designed to maximise the space only thing I would say is that in our twin room the beds were only 2"6ft wide very small for the larger person. The hotel was in a great location 10min walk to all major attractions, 2 min to river bank. Situated in a quiet street just off main street so peaceful and relaxed. The breakfast was cold and hot with fresh orange juice and champagne all free superb. would highly recommend to anyone looking for good value central hotel who dont wont to pay big chain hotel prices!!!

Not much to add to the previous reviews: great hotel, top location managing to be central but quiet. One of the best hotels that we've ever stayed in re sound proofing and that was over New Year's Eve too. Friendly, professional staff. Fab breakfast. Yes, the bedrooms are small but the shower room was great. Very clean.
We loved the Fregatt pub across the road too.
Recommended.

The hotel is in a very central location, adjacent to Vaci Street. Very good open buffet breakfast to satisfy almost any traveler. Very clean room and hotel. They serve food and beverage amenities in the lobby. Eventhough we didn't consume any, it was a very pleasant service. Everyone at the reception and in housekeeping was very polite and helpful. As soon as you enter, they give you almost every information (tours, bus, restaurants, etc.) you would require. They don't try to sell you anything which makes the service very sincere. By the way, the rooms are small and there is no seating area in the room.

Go to see an opera at the old Opera House. Walk on Vaci Street a few times, visit the Royal Castle and the Castle District for sure, eat in the Italian Restaurant 'Cucina' on Vaci Street. It has the best pizza and exquisite scallops. We didn't have time to visit Gellert Bath and Spa however you should do so if you have the time. Instead we had a Thai massage after so much walking. Not to forget, there is a very big in-door market place 100 meters from the hotel where you may find almost anything from food and beverage to clothing to souvenirs.
.
Eventhough it was very cold, my wife and I walked every where with ease. We bought a ticket for the Hop on Hop off bus, however we only used it twice. Three days is definitely not enough to visit Budapest.
