“A nice beautiful cafe”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2013

It was a nice beautiful cafe with artistic/classic ceiling.
It also had pianist playing live music. The food there was good and cheap.

“They shocked me”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 13, 2013 via mobile

Visited them today and really got negative surprise. All tables were blocked or reserved. I asked staff if really 7 tables were reserved. She confirmed but I guess they simply filtering the guests. She offered us two seats to share with others It was very impolite. Recommend to see the facility and leave without having anything.

На семи столах было указано что занято. Они просто подбирают гостей. Лучше посмотреть на зал потом уйти.

“Beautiful surroundings and lovely food”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

You need to know where you're going to find this place - for a start, the tripadvisor map shows it on the wrong side of the road. Go into the Alexandra bookshop and up the escalators and the cafe is at the back. It really is the most stunning room with amazingly high ceilings, endless frescoes and gigantic mirrors. Unlike some of the the other reviewers, we found the staff to be charming and the food was of a very high quality (probably a bit more expensive than other nearby cafes - you are paying to be somewhere really beautiful and to eat great ingredients). Needless to say we had amazing cakes for pudding. A really lovely, restful experience after a lot of walking around the city.

“Great place for a light meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 12, 2013 via mobile

If you want to visit this place, try to find Alexandra Bookstore! The café is located inside the bookstore.
The place is amazing. It looks like a museum, very clean and beatiful.
They have delicious cakes and light meals. Their coffee and drinks are good too.
The staffs are nice and efficient. Great value for money.

“Great experience!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2013 via mobile

I went to this Cafè for an afternoon snack with some expectations after reading the positive reviews on TripAdvisor. It wasn't easy to find it because it's located on the second floor of the Alexandra bookshop but I wasn't disappointed at all and I had a really nice experience. I had the chance to taste the double chocolate milkshake, which is very special because of the chocolate pops inside the drink, the berry cheesecake and the chocolate tart. Everything tasted good, even if the cakes were not the best I have ever eaten but the atmosphere was great, the service quick and the staff nice and thoughtful. There was also a pianist who played the big piano in the room. I truly recommend it!
