“Prefer at the Advent period”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 13, 2012

After taking a walk in the city, looking around the Christmas market on the Vörösmarty Square, I highly reccomend to visit Bookccafe. Not only because of the cafe, but the bookshop and the wine treasury are also worse to see. I"m absolutely sure, that you will enjoy the cheese cake with a cup of nice tea, or cafe. Enjoy your stay:)

“A must in Budapest”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012

The Alexandra Bookshop is on the legendary Andrassy, a boulevard lined with town houses, luxury shops, cafes and restaurants. The entrance is big and you will not go pass it without noticing. On the ground floor there is a very bookshop, but it is the bar/cafe/restaurant half stairs up you don’t want to miss.
The room is much a ballroom from late 19th century with high vaulted ceiling and decorations in gold. A man at the piano adds to the atmosphere. Drinks were excellent and service fine. It appeared to me to be equally popular among the natives and tourists.

“Fabulous surroundings”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2012 via mobile

What a lovely place. We visited for afternoon coffee and cake. It's a very grand salon with frescoes on the ceilings, massive mirrors on the walls and a gorgeous selection of cakes. While we ate and drank, a pianist played. Very civilised! Service was friendly but exceptionally slow and I had to ask twice for the bill but really, it's worth the wait.

“You will say wow!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 29, 2012

In a very nice, modern bookstore you first see a nice wine rayon on one side and huge variety of books on the other. Walking through the mezzanine level, you will see the Cafe and just stand in front of the door and probably say wow. It is fabulous. The service can be faster but I am sure you won't complain since the ambience is perfect. A must see in Budapest.

“Amazing place, perfect for a break during the day”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 21, 2012 via mobile

This amazing bookshop and coffee place is one of the best places to be in Budapest. I had my favourite, illy caffe but they also serve other types of coffee as well as deserts. You can make a reservation to be sure that this bookcafe experience is going to happen.
