“Nice location, nice place”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 13, 2013 via mobile

This is a good choice in Budapest if you are looking for a good location at an affordable price, the rooms are not to big but can acommodate two people with not problems at all the breakfast is a good plus not for vegetarians but this is all the same in all easter. Europe i think. The location is superb but the hotel is not ease to find very small entrance and signs you don not see it unless you know the exactlocation it is easier to go to the italian restaurant next door and ask there for the place. I wiil recommend the hotel to anyone.

We stayed in la prima fashion hotel for three nights 9th-12th of february for our city break. We booked the hotel based on trip advisor reviews and were not disappointed. Location was brilliant, a short walk to metro/ river/ attractions. ( DON't eat in restaurants close to hotel or in touristy areas They will rip you off and charge a big service charge- venture down the side streets for nicer cheaper alternatives.) We had an early morning flight and arrived at hotel before 11am very tired- we expected to be told that our room was not ready and to leave our bags and come back at 2pm- we were pleasantly surprised and grateful to be checked in straight away and given our room. Reception staff very helpful, good breakfast (a lot of people mention the breakfast waiting staff - being very unfriendly and grumpy) but we didn't really notice, when we asked a question or for something they answered politely and tried to help- Can't expect everyone to walk around with smiles :) after all we are the ones enjoying ourselves on holidays! Room was small but well equipped- exceptionally clean. Room was cleaned twice a day during our stay- I've never experienced that level of cleanliness in any hotel I've stayed in before. not a smudge or mark anywhere in the hotel .Used the fitness suite also- a small room with one bike/ treadmill and cross trainer- not much but all that i needed- be warned very hot in there like exercising in a sauna! The hotel was very warm so we ended up asking for extra duvet and slept with window a jar to let in some fresh air. The room had an espresso machine- neither of us drink coffee but there was no problem getting pots of hot water from reception for tea. We had a night time flight and enquired about a late check out (expecting to pay something ) and were told that we could have a check out at 2pm free of charge- which was fantastic. The La Prima fashion hotel is a nice central hotel that is great value for money- It may not be a four star standard for everyone but we can say that it is a hotel that we will return to if we visit The beautiful city of Budapest again- This city should be a definite on anyone's city break wish list- Be warned when it snows it snows!! So have a pair of warm water proof boots on stand by and warm clothes. The Budapest Trip advisor App is another must !! definitely made our trip less stressful and so much easier to look up things when we were there and use GPS to show us exactly where to go and how far it was- And it is FREE to download. Also do the free general walking tour early in your trip for lots of information and advice. For anyone reading this review enjoy your trip to a magical city :) Advice-Beware of rip off taxis- and get the 200E bus and then metro line 2 into city centre for less than 2 euro per person so easy and much cheaper than shuttle airport bus- buy bus and metro ticket from newsagents shop in airport.

So, this was indeed a very nice hotel, great decor, good breakfast selection.

The staff, while seeming to be all teenagers, were professional and thorough. Late checkout was a bargain at €30, massive bed, absolutely no complaints.

If I ever happen to go back to Budapest, I'd probably head straight back here.

Also - location was tops - just next to a posh touristy bit, just over the river from the Citadel and Castle Hill.

Room Tip: Ask for a double if you're a couple!

We recently returned from a 4 day visit to Budapest . We stayed in the Prima fashion hotel which was great . It was clean modern and very central to everything . The rooms were spacious and bright . The double bed was very large and very comfortable. The staff in the hotel were very polite and helpful . Breakfast was continental buffet style but it had everything you would need to start off your day . The hotel was just off the main shopping street and walking distance to everything . We really enjoyed it and would definitely return and stay here again .

Room Tip: We stayed on the 4 th floor which overlooked the front of the hotel . Didn't find it noise at al...

Just off Vatci Utca, close to Danube promenade, river cruises and in walking distance to many other places, this hotel's best feature is its' location. It is also newly decorated, very clean and serves excellent breakfast. Our room and bathroom were on a smaller side, but it is almost to be expected in some centrally located European hotels. It was also very good value for money. On a downside, lack of parking is a bit of a problem, if you arrive by car. They arranged parking for us some 300m away, in a public garage. If weather is fine, this is perfectly acceptable, though not the most convenient.

I'll start on a low and end on a high.

La Prima is marketed as a 4 star hotel, but I would say it is more fitting of a 3 star. I've stayed in many 4 star hotels of a much better standard.

I asked at reception if it would be possible to turn on the air conditioning as, at times, our room was stifilingly hot - even though we were there mid october. However I was told this would not be possible as it was too noisy and and would affect other guests. Not really what you want to hear.

The reception staff were a bit hit or miss - playing on their phones a lot, and making you aware you were interupting their time on facebook or whatever *deep, huffy breaths*. The overnight receptionist was nice enough though.

I felt the hotel was slightly over styled - turquoise and cream Fleur De Lis everywhere (carpets, walls, glass, furniture...) a bit over bearing in all honesty, but not completely offensive.
A bit style over substance I think.

Breakfast consist of a selection of breads, meats, cheese, yoghurts and cereals interspersed with some local delicacies - Hungarian Goulash, spicy sausage... Was good to try different things, however the choice remains the same each day.

The hotel is in a fantatic location, halfway along Vaci Utca and a 2 minute walk away from the Danube. It is in a great location to explore the city and easy to navigate to and from. My wife and I walked everywhere from this great base.

There are a fantastic array of restaurants just a stones throw from the front doors, and a number of great bars and boutique shops too.

Room Tip: Steer clear of taxi's, the drivers are crazy (or at least the one we used to go to the Opera was...
