“Romantic place in the center”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 29, 2012

Very cosy hotel, romantic atmosphere, nice location.
The staff was very tough, very hard to get a good answer for the question.
Overall - is good!

Just returned last night. This hotel has everything you need for a trip to Budapest. Free internet use, good breakfast, 100 meters to river Danube, central location for shopping. Highly recommended.

Stayed here for 2 nights in February. I was given Room 102. The window of the room is facing main street, so if you want privacy, better close the curtains.
I like the large screen mirror that is in front of the bed. I reckon it would be great for couples.
Breakfast spread is the same each day, I have no complains with that. The bed is extra comfortable. The only dislike I have is the small shower cubile, with sliding plastic door. Very limited space to move around. If one is a large-sized person, one may find it hard to maneuver.
Food is plenty nearby the hotel. The hotel is very near to Vati Utca, a street filled with fashion and food. Do try the Casablanca Restaurant. The food there is good and reasonable. 1 min away, you can reach the view of Danube River.
Front desk service was just average. It's the hotel interior and location which gives it up 5 star rating.
Do ask for the fix price of 2,500 HUF for Airport Transfer if one is going to airport.

If you are looking for the great location and decent high-middle class hotel, this is definitely the place to stay. Stuff speaks English and they are very helpful if you ask for the advice. Hotel is new, so it looks quite modern, but don't expect too much of a luxury. Like I said, it's decent for category where it belongs. Rooms and bathrooms are not very spacious, but they offer all the necessities like TV, fan, money safe...and they are also very clean. Breakfast is great, lot of choice, together with some hungarian specialties. There is also fitness room offered in the hotel( not included in the price). For the price, I would say that hotel offers a great quality.

We have just returned from a five day visit to Budapest, made all the more special having stayed at the Prima! The Hotel is centrally located in the heart of Budapest and offers comfort and luxury at an affordable price.
The hotel has the feel of a very modern and slightly over the top design (in a pleasant way) and stands out in a mass of hotels that have no individual identity. Our rooms were spacious and warm and had everything we needed for a city break stay. Even with it's ideal location, the main shopping street to the left of the hotel and the Danube to the right, the hotel is surprisingly quiet of an evening and no sleep was lost as is often the case in a city centre hotel.
There is a free safe in the room which is practical and easy to use and there is a mini bar / fridge. Tea /coffee makers are in the rooms but the beverages need to be paid for. There is a hairdryer in the bathroom and we had a lovely deep bath and powerful shower. An ironing room is also available in the basement with three irons and boards on offer (free too!). There is also a fitness room available though five days walking round Budapest was exercise enough for us!
The breakfast does not vary on a daily basis however with so many choices available you can vary your daily intake by mixing and matching. The usual cereals, cheese and hams, bread and cake selection as well as fresh fruit, yoghurt and cooked scrambled eggs with or without chorizo gave us plenty to play with each morning, as well as fruit juice machine and tea / coffee machine.
Reception organised our taxi transfer from the airport and this was not only cheaper than booking yourself, but was very very efficient and our taxi driver was very co-operative.
On a general note, ALWAYS insist on seeing a pricelist when entering cafes/ restaurants / bars as you can be seriously overcharged if you haven't checked the pricing, likewise do not get into a taxi without questioning the price for your journey or again the driver is in danger of pumping the meter for fun and charging more than the flight to the country! If approached by ladies in the street and asked if you 'have a cityguide', walk on as they are likely to sting you for a trip to a bar and not much else!! LOL
I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel and stay here on future visits, it was wonderful.

The staff very friendly. The location is fantastic - lots of shops, restaurants, walking distances to sightseeing places or you can simply take the Metro. The room was spacious with big bathroom and a small balcony, refrigerator, espresso machine, safety box and internet. Computers with internet and printer near the reception for free. There were no irons/ironing board in the room.
