“Not Just a tineKitchen”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 7, 2013

Most delicious meal on day 2 of our Budapest visit. Right off of a side street near St. Stephan's church. The staff was friendly and service top notch. We had the Pork Medallions with mushrooms, Fennel soup, mixed green salad, Crispy Duck with Mango puree, each dish was equally excellent. And for dessert the Basil ice cream with crunchy graham croutons. If you have the time to search out the restaurant, go and enjoy. Worth the trip for foodies.

“A memorable birthday dinner”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2013

The quality of food and service were great. The ambiance of the place was really nice. It was a perfect setting to enjoy the company of my good friends. The staff was courteous and very attentive. From the starter to dessert, everything was exquisitely prepared and the taste really tickled our palate. I would certainly go back!

“Not to be missed”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 5, 2013

We saw many good reviews of this restaurant on Tripadvisor so we made a special effort to try it. It lived up to expectations. The service was very good although not outstanding. The meals were excellent. So was the wine selection. It is not the cheapest place to dine but it is worth the price. It is obviously a popular place as they were full when we were there and turning away walk in diners so be warned. We had to reserve a day ahead to get a table at our preferred time but it was worth it.

“Sidestreet Surprise”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 3, 2013

I'd read about this restaurant here, and on other sites, but hadn't realised how hidden away it was. It is a real gem for anyone prepared to search it out, and actually it's not too difficult to find once you become familiar with the geography of Budapest. It can be a little expensive by Budapest standards but that shouldn't take anything away from the quality of the food and service. The food is excellent, and also very photogenic, according to the diners photographing their meals. I enjoyed each course without exception, and the wine was good too. Well worth a visit.

“Outstanding wine selection”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

A large bistro, with a sophisticated, slow food cuisine (pretty much against the very concept of bistro...) - the best option is by far a tasting menu to go along with a long list of Hungarian wines - on that front, probably the best place in town to test/discover local wine production. Food-wise, it is good although lacks precision and the fine-tuning given the ambition level they probably aspire to. Anyhow, a great place to visit.
