I loved this place for many of the reasons some people would hate it. My guess is if you like any of the following; stop reading new and look for another hotel - The Daily Mail, Jeremy Clarkson, Ferrero Rocher, TOWIE. Sorry, very English references.
The good things are an atmospheric old building, stylish rooms, art, a great commom room and enthusiatic staff. Drawbacks include a reception on the 2nd floor, lots of stairs and no control over the heating heating or much in the way of air con (just fans in some rooms) - think twice about visiting in the August heat! The location is pretty good for everything central.
We stayed 1 night in Droga, a wonderfull high ceilinged room on the 1st floor with a big bathroom. There was no window to the outdoors but doors opened out onto a public balcony that faced the courtyard. The rest of the stay was in the less atmoshpheric Yusuke which opens onto the courtyard and has a kitchen which is handy plus room for a couple of extra people to sleep upstairs. But inexplicably - no chairs.
I would stay again very happily but its not for everyone.
