“Great Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 2, 2013

Fantastic bistro/restaurant. Really friendly staff. A good menu of hearty local/Hungarian dishes.
A lovely rustic dining room. Good selection of local wines.
Also good for a drink before. That said try the cellar bar opposite, full of locals after work so must be good!!

“10 mins from chain bridge - don't miss it”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 22, 2013

It's a bit off the beaten tourist track, on the Buda side of the Danube, almost opposite the Parliament building, a pleasant stroll from the Chain Bridge. If you're staying in the castle area, head down the steps near the church. It's more a bar/restaurant than restaurant/bar. We’ve been a few times in the evening now, always been made welcome and served quickly. Excellent value, the best goulash stew I’ve tried in BP. For the beer drinkers there’s an excellent choice at the bar, a good range of dishes to suit all diners. You will not be disappointed !

“Bloody fantastic”

Friendly staff, excellent service and food. Always busy which is always a good sign and still receive prompt service. Free wifi, stones throw from our hotel would highly recommend.

“Good food + good staff + good localization”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 8, 2013

I strongly recommend this place if you are hosted at Art Hotel or in its neighbourhood (Buda side, in front of the Danube river). I was in Budapest with a friend last August, and this restaurant was a very nice surprise. It was very close to our hotel (Art Hotel), and we had dinner there almost all the week. The menu was diverse, the prices not expensive, and the staff very kind, in special JOSEF PEPINO and VALENTINO.
